Keep the direction character is facing on warps?

Is it just me? But I remember years before, when a character is facing say 6 oclock, and got warped, his facing direction will remain?

I noticed it on Training Grounds, when NPCs will warp you to the same map, I feel like my character is a robot if his head keeps looking forward. LOL.
