After playing RO on many private servers for many years of my life, I've decided to give it a try on one of my own. Mainly because where I live (Buenos Aires), there is literally no server with low ping (below 100). And I'm looking to host mine on a datacenter located here or nearby for good ping.
I work as a software dev, but haven't delved into devops ever in my life so this is a starter for me :)

Has anyone tried AWS, Google Cloud, or any "good" hosting out there? I'm planning to base myself off of this guide:

But hosting somewhere else that has a datacenter in LAS.

Thanks and hoping to chat with everyone!

You can use any server which you like, choosing a hosting depends on how big you think your server will be and the location of players ofcourse.

You can go with AWS (many location choices), but you need to add elastic ip (to have static IP).

You can go with budget VPS hostings (OVH, budgetVM, etc.)
