This is a bit informal, as it's not really something that I am offering widely. It's exclusive to this forum.
I'm looking to buy a rack in Fremont, CA, USA. It's a pretty big expense, I can afford it but it'd be a while before I started making the money back. So what I'm looking for is a few people that would like a portion of the rack space for themselves. I'm paying all the setup fees and stuff myself.
I'm offering single-server hosting (up to 3U) for $100/month. This includes up to 10Mbit/s of bandwidth. If you need more it is available, it's $1/Mbit. You have to buy 100 minimum, so it would be $100 for 100Mbit/s on top of the $100 you are already paying. It is unmetered bandwidth -- you don't have to worry about "going over" or anything.
If you need multi-server hosting reply to this or PM me for a price. I need to know how many servers, how many U and how much bandwidth you need. If you know how much power you need that would be helpful as well (note that the size of your PSU is not how much power you need).
You have to provide your own hardware. It must be a rack-mountable server with rails. If you don't have one I can sell you one (either new or used, your choice). A new one would be around $800 for a really good server for Hercules -- a used one would be around $500 (quad core, 8GB RAM) and would host Hercules fine as well. You are free to host whatever you want, as long as it's legal in the USA of course. If you buy hardware it's yours, so if you want it back you can have it back of course.
I am looking to do this in March. If you want to take advantage of this I must get your payment before March, especially if you need me to order you hardware. Any questions reply to this or PM me.
