<p>Hey everyone!</p>

<p>I've decided to create a website that's similar in its features as to RateMyServer, however the design is not set in stone so I can alter it whenever; this also goes with the name. I decided to just toss out a name until I found something really inspiring to me.</p>

<p>Anyways, basically this is a project I'm creating on the side that's integrated with a Review System, but also combined with a Topsite Listing System.</p>

(He basically stole our idea from a year ago.) I'm kidding.

It's cute. Too RMS-ey. But definitely has a better layout.

Please limit your fonts to three types. Or it'll look messy and cluttered. (INCLUDING THE BANNER FONT TO THE COUNT!!!!)

I really like it, it's very clean. 

As for content, comparing your's and ratemyserver, ratemyserver is filled with a lot of info and it doesn't seemed organize..just sidebars with links to other areas. So I'm curious what are you focusing on. 

I see downloads and databases, so what will that contain?

Hahhaa, how did I know it was gonna be about the font mainly :> Yeah I was pretty much playing around with the fonts. I've installed different fonts recently so I'll head back to it xD

 
I like everything EXCEPT the top "Critique My Server"; I find it to be 1995-ish and should be more current. Take off the border if you *have* to use that font, and add a drop shadow / other things behind it so it pops out more. At the moment, it looks like something pulled straight out of PSP 7. Other than that, I like it and look forward to the release.

Thanks Judas. For me, the information will be similar to RMS' however, not cluttered in sidebars. The focus of the site is the actual Reviews going on, on the right side so that people will mainly focus on that when they get to the site. Then they'll be redirected to the server's page similar to RMS. As for the Downloads and databases, the downloads will be put in a page similar to RMS and the database I will be hyperlinking to my database that I have up and running currently... integrating it into the site will take a heavy amount of time =/

Thanks jTynne. Do you have any recommendations for a font that can be used for the title?
 
I'd use the same font as is being used in the header titles for each sub section of the site currently.

Sorry, not sure what to think of this. I don't like the idea of splitting community or users from RMS to your new thing. I'd rather see the existing be improved or something totally different but not something like it. Reminds me of the RateMyRO.net advertiser or w/e his name was, who turned out to be the owner of EarthBoundRO.

As much as I've grown up with RMS, I do believe it's time for a change. RMS at the moment is way to cluttered and unorganized nor does it have a professional appeal to it. No, I am currently not a server owner and if I was, I would like to have my Server and this Project aside from one another. What I want for this project is another similarity as to RMS, but not a duplicate. As for the existing thing, RMS has kept the similar layout for about 5 years or so (even if they recently changed their depictions).

 
I was just bringing the earthbound guy up as an example, not saying you couldn't or shouldn't do or use it. Although it would seem somewhat biased if you were to open this and have a server and then have the server listed there as well. Not that you shouldn't be able to have it posted there, but it just would seem as if you would eventually obviously be favoring your own server.

Indeed. It would be bias and conflict of interest if I were to have my own server and give myself everything lol, thus, it shouldn't be allowed and that's why I don't have a server since I rather focus on this project ;3
