Athena has been passed along from team to team through the ages: from Athena, to AthenaMods, to eAthena, to 3CeAM, to rAthena, and now Hercules. With each new development team that acquires the project, a little bit more is done to improve the overall project that is Athena.
 
There have been countless people involved with this project through many years. Many of them have put in countless hours, and contributed thousands of lines of code (some of which still exists to this day).
 
Athena would not be where it is today without the help of these amazing developers. Because of this, I'm adding in this AUTHORS file to give tribute and credit to the amazing people which have made this project possible.
 
Thank you to everyone who has helped in the development of Athena. You are amazing, skilled, and your work will live on through the years to come. This project is yours, and has lasted over 10 years thanks to the dedication and support you have put in.

I haven't thouht that this many people contributed to athena.

Thanks all of them for their contribution for building this amazing ragnarok emulator.

 
It's amazing how many people has contributed to Athena/RO Emu Community. Brings back memories, since I started back in late 2006, even though I haven't do much lately, it was a pleasure working with pretty much most of them, and being able to learn and get experience from everyone.

Surprisingly enough, I know more names than I thought I would before reading O.o

 
It really brings back all those old memories when looking at those names especially when eAthena was at peak. Hey, don't forget to include shazeya as well since he was one of developer that popularized the eAthena livecd back then and if I'm not mistaken he was former Global Moderator at eAthena too.

Anyway, I just recently coming back at which I thought eAthena was already dead.

I have no idea how my name get inside

I never apply as a developer, and all things I have done is just promoting eathena/rathena with custom made scripts

though, I admit at some point I did help the developers fixed some script related bugs,

but only by providing a patch, the developer just applied it

if my name is inside, there is more members like

keyworld - suggest freeloop, getargcount()

toastofdoom - suggest bindatcmd and string manipulation script commands

Yhn - I recall him making some official eathena scripts back in 2006 ...

Trancid - he's the one who started wiki scripting guide, we just expanded it later

shazeya and seventh were helped too, they were past admin

and you guys missed mentioning about freya emulator ... though I already see all their names inside

Oh my, no wonder. That's okay. I'm glad to see you still around on RO emulator development. Most of people I knew back then already gone into their own life. Anyway, let's embrace the future and move forward together.

Would be great to add orn to the list.

Also known as the Zilleuse de Grigri she was freaking awesome and worked a lot on the homunculus system in the past (and maybe some others things I do not know about).

Great initiative, remembered me about humans.txt
