Chu! Ragnarok Online!

If you're looking for the best Ragnarok Online experience on the interwebs, look somewhere else.

Kidding.

Opened February 8 2013, Chu! Ragnarok Online first featured Alice, its Midrate Renewal Server. Along with the support of all Renewal classes, we constantly push to introduce as much of the latest official content as we can. We are the first of currently very few full-production servers to support Hercules' Full Renewal Mechanics, and we work closely with their team to create as flawless Ragnarok Renewal experience as we can. Alice features rates of x150 for Base, Job, and Quest EXP, x25 for common drops and x10 for MVP drops. Apart from these, we also highlight creative custom content, lovingly created exclusively for the Chu! community.

On May 28 2013, we opened our second server, Aurora, which is still currently in its public beta phase. Aurora is our High Rate Pre-Renewal Trans-Only Server, sporting rates of x10000 for Base/Job EXP, x10000 for common drops, x5000 for boss drops, x1000 for common card drops, and x500 for MVP card drops. This second server is a passion project, recalling my own and my co-admin's glory days as high rate RO players. Its goal is to emulate the original aeRO-Mayaan server by iamabean and kinko, where I was a head GM myself. We seek to provide only the same set of custom gear the server provided and no further. This aside, Aurora will also enjoy some of the custom areas and Event Quests made available on Alice.

Chu! Ragnarok Online doesn't hold lofty goals like becoming the 'best server ever', or even holding a large player base. As long as we can pay for the bills, we don't care. We consider Chu! an art project-- an experiment in world building, if you will, where we measure its success in its ability to immerse and with how memorable we can make the experience for everyone. We hope to add substance to the world of Rune-Midgard, by creating a little place in it that we can call our own.

That said, we do hope you join us in our adventure and register today!

Server Specs

[*]Running Mechanics: Renewal

[*]Base/Job Rates: 150x/150x (Floating Rates available, 200x~500x)

[*]Quest EXP Rates: 150x (Because screw level grinding, hunting for items is going to be brutal)

[*]Drop Rates: 25x (common), 50x (equipment), 25x (card), 10x (MvP)

[*]Max Level: 150/70 (Transcendent), 160/50 (Renewal)

[*]Max Stats: 125

[*]Max ASPD: 193

[*]Max Character per Account: 9

[*]Hardware DDoS Protected

*For the sake of easing an already grueling hunting process, the Renewal item drop system (which reduces item drop rates the further away in levels your character is from the monster’s level) has been deactivated on this server in favor of the traditional drop rate system.

Server Features

Original Story Quests

We're putting the RPG back in MMORPG! Chu! Ragnarok Online features an original story chain that players may choose to complete for EXP, Zeny, or Event Tickets. Explore the islands of the Cerulean Archipelago and see what happens when the world of Rune-Midgard takes a turn for the weirder!

We aim to provide a large variety of entertaining story quests. Here are a few samples!

[*]Cleric Gloria of the Elmina Cathedral has been tasked to exorcise Payon Cave of its undead inhabitants! Her crippling fear of Poporing prevents her from doing so, however, so you must take it upon yourself to rid the caves of the undead scourge!

[*]The hidden island of Caspen can only be braved by the manliest man of the sea! Do you have facial hair and an alcohol tolerance manly enough to impress the greatest sailor of the empire?

[*]Master fisherman Bee travels the world for the catch of a lifetime! Legends speak of four legendary fish living in the waters of the Cerulean Archipelago. Do you have the skills and fortitude to go head to head with these creatures, and what secrets lie beneath the archipelago's seas?

Treasure Box Event

Every hour during the day, there’s a 1/3 chance of an NPC summoning six treasure boxes around the server's main town Port Elmina. Race around the island to find a box and win 1x Event Ticket and 1x Old Card Album! Be careful though: five of those boxes are rigged to explode when opened.

Daily Hunting Missions

If decimating Rune-Midgard’s monster population gives you a rise, drop by the Elmina Mercenary Office and take on Hunting Missions! Daily Hunting Missions can be initiated every 2 hours per account. The NPC will assign three random monsters which players must then hunt down. Completing these missions will award you with base and job experience, Zeny, and Mission Points, which you can exchange for items!

Dungeon Siege

Perhaps better identified as our server’s version of Devil Square, Dungeon Siege pits all participating players into a confined area where they must work together to survive and eventually defeat three waves of monster groups. Take advantage of the terrain, divide and conquer and see your team to victory! Completion of Dungeon Siege presents its victors with three options:

[*]A large number of Event Tickets

[*]A large amount of Zeny

[*]An all or nothing gamble for a random seasonal hat!

Convenient NPCs

We also have a variety of other custom NPCs design to help players in a variety of ways.

[*]One-click Healer (With a questable passport that players can use to get buffs as well)

[*]Coin Trader (Are your coffers getting too heavy? Trade them in for coins you can store!)

[*]Identification (Having to identify mystery items is a drag. Pay an NPC to do it all for you in two clicks!)

[*]The Mercenary Office (Every officially questable weapon and headgear, in one building. Pick what you want done and get hunting!)

[*]A couple other automated events (Poring Catcher, and Dodgeball among others)

[*]Card Exchange (Let no card be wasted! Trade them in for points and use those points to buy OCAs)

hello, I am currently looking for a good server to play on and saw yours a bit interesting but bef. that i just want to know 1st how many players are playing @ regular & peak times.

i may end up playing @ your server if you already has good base player counts

Not a lot, to be perfectly honest. I think we average around the area of 15 or so, topping off at 30 on really busy days.
