Max connection (failed to connect)

Good day hercules.

Just recently my server reaches 550 max peak, however more than that players can't connect anymore after character selection.

Does herc emulator cater upto 550 players only? Cuz i upgraded my vps too.

How will i fixed this?

the default for most linux distro is 1024, it would be better if you can give screenshots with any error/warning that explains the issue. or you can enable epoll

it only say:

Then probably it's just your server can't handle this connections amount

How can i fix it? Any solutions?
Currently my server info is:

Cpu : 4 vcores

ram : 4 gb guaranteed

Hdd : 300 gb

Traffic : unlimited

I think he means a firewall capping your concurrent connections.
