Think it is necessary for you to know a little about me: (since you're gonna work with me)
I'm Rody, 24 years old. I've been a player for the most of my RO life and later moved on to being an Admin and a developer. Many of us have always been looking for that ideal server to play and I want to make that happen in the best way I could by starting my own. In my perspective a server is only as good as the community and the staff running it. I prefer a server to have a well-balanced and stable game environment where things are not being spoon-fed but at the same time not compromising on the most important thing, to enjoy the game and have fun.
A brief about the server to be launched:
The server will be called Atherea (derived from Etherea - dwelling of the high Gods), it will be a pre-renewal and a Low-rate server. The rates will be anywhere between 5x 5x 3x ~ 10x 10x 5x and 1x boss cards. The server will not have any over-powered donate items and no custom items that replaces or renders existing items useless. There will be a unique story line that spices up the RO experience but at the same time without messing with the actual story of the game too much. A simple way to put my idea is to have the fun being where is usually ends in most RO servers. The story-line will be based on a faction/ clan system and their respective quests + rewards.
What we need:
We already have a few others who are involved in this project. The reason for hiring more staff members is to not only speed things up but at the same time to allow those who share similar goals and ideals as mine to be a part of the team.
Developers are of utmost priority, preferably someone who is familiar with Hercules emulator for source coding and server side development and someone who is familiar with the latest client releases for the client-side development. It goes without saying but you should be able to fix bugs and make changes as necessary as and when we add/ implement something new to the game.
Scripters are welcome to apply provided you're capable of writing custom quests and instances.
Essentially anyone who is willing to learn, improve and develop their skills are most appreciated to be a part of the team.
We will be hiring forum mods and support/event GMs as well provided you're active, have sufficient RO knowledge and is responsible for the respective post you're applying.
We also welcome people who are creative and would be interested in writing up dialog and plot development for our story-line.
