Not my software im just re uploading it because someone asked me

and heres a tutorial for the basics 

step 1 

set your folder with resources, sometimes its stupid and you need to rename them

if they arent showing try reloading

also when making new str files it seemed like i had to save it then re open it to get any textures to open properly

so after playing around with it ive discovered : 

1) you need to reload after you create a new file with your own layers and frames

2) when your making the size of it follow this

p1xy is - / - p2xy is + / - then bottom left is -/+ and then + / +

3) For some reason nothing was working until i set that p?uv p3uv row to 1.... no idea why but everything started working

bsa and sa seem to be the ideal blends but still gotta look through them 

after a bit more...

bsa with transparency is probably the best

Alright so while working i realized I didnt have enough room and started clicking stuff and figured out how to add layers... simply right click the layer numbers and insert, yes and no or yes

same for frames but on the actually time line... but i wouldnt play with it for fun xD

I think that wraps it up except for the other transparencies, like i said just use bsa with 0.8 transparency

Ugh You need to make sure to set these

and then in this corner

You see where BLOOD02.BMP is written? Well you click the button ADD thats like >>> right next to this area 

then for each frame, make sure you select the proper texture 

cause if you open in grf editor

those on the right are the textures we selected above

probably werent included and need to be EXACT otherwise it wont work some data is screwy 

 
Thank you for this sir! I've been slowly trying to figure this program out, but I can't seem to keyframe things. When I make a frame, I can't animate it to the next keyframe. In the timeline it turns into a K, while the animations are all As. I saw that if you right click there's an option called Animize, but I can't select it.

Could you please shed some light on it, please?

 
Following will patch ROStrViewer to fix following issues:

  • GRF archives over 2GiB could not be read
  • .STR files that were not stored in
    Code:
    data\texture\effect
    would not work (image resources would not be found)
Following issues are known, but are not yet fixed:

  • Some .STR files still cannot find their files
  • Some .STR files cause a recoverable exception in the program
The patch is based on this download release, with the following changes:

  • TranslatedROSTRviewer.exe has been patched to load hotfix32.dll
  • hotfix32.dll has been added to apply the above patches at runtime
