¿Why used Git and no SVN?

Just'm using the Hercules, it was easy to get but hard time update (still failed to update).

This had never happened to SVN.
So .. Why use Git?

Also, I must note the fact that you can actively participate on the emulator's development when using Git, by sending pull requests via Github. Check this guide!

tl;dr git is much more developer/contributor friendly than svn.

The fact that you can create branches for your own development purposes is awesome! SVN doesn't have that.
