Today I wanna show you our project YARL - Yet Another Ragnarok Launcher
 
What is YARL?
YARL it's Ragnarok Launcher based on C# with WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation), which make life easier for not only you but also for your players.
 
Advantages
1. Easy setup:
    1. To change design you just need to put images in a special folder;
    2. You can easy manage colors of buttons/panels and etc. with a configuration file based on XML;
    3. You and Your designers are no longer dependent on screen resolutions of users, because YARL written using WPF,
        which adapts to any screen (+ users have the freedom to resize the window as they want);
 
 
2. Functional and comfortable
    1. You no longer have to create "crutches" with PHP or HTML pages for getting server status or online because YARL get data via API;
    2. Live friend list for account;
    3. Configurable gallery / news / sliders panel;
    4. Enter the game right from the launcher;
    5. Fast account change system;
    6. Working with GRF files or RAR archives;
 
3. Working with API (available via FluxCP addon or Python web-application)

May I ask few things about the project,

1) Is this a login (such as rocred) + patcher (such as thor)?

2) As soon as the project is done, will you release it for free? or if you would be selling this, how much would it cost?

Yes. Login and then pacher, but players need login just once, because launcher will remember all passwords and logins. (if player want)

It will be not free. Around 30-35$, I will release our site where you can buy Launcher online via PayPal.

Also you can manage settings of your launcher on our site. (IP, ports, ApiKey, downloads and etc)

When you buy launcher you will get:

  1. Launcher
  2. PHP addon for flux cp or Python Web-Application (free setting and installation)
  3. 16/7 free support by me

How do those users (in the video above) on the side work / function? Sorry if I missed your explanation about it.

Sorry, not sure that I understand your question (bad english). Can you please explain?

If you mean right side panel - this is Friend list from account. It will be shown like this:

FriendName - FriendCurrentLocation (from DB `last_map`)

Ah yes that's what I wanted to know. Sorry, I didn't know they were friends. That's pretty neat. So it shows friends who are online (your friend's list) ? What's the word beside your friend's name? Would it be possible to show where your friend is i.e. map name?

Yeah it will show if friend online, friend name, friend current location, base level, job level, guild name.

White font = current location.

  1. You must enable Use SSO Login Packet on your EXE.
  2. You must understand that YARL have bugs because this is Alpha test.
  3. You must disable Restore Login Window patch on your EXE
Functions that work on alpha:

  1. Download FULL client of your server
  2. Live friend list
  3. Login in game from launcher
  4. Working with RAR archives
  5. All animations and styles
