Guide setting up 2013+ Client for Hercules

after reading this i dont get errors anymore about getprocaddress... but i still get the last error which force closes the app...

 
ok i checked your last SS,

in your data.ini :

[Data]0=data.grf1=a.grf2=rdata.grf
you don't follow my guide aren't you?

opps... it was english.grf only renamed.... the built grf was also a.grf so thats what i put in so it will be easier to find since it sorted alphabetically...


now remade it to english.grf and i did miss understood your instruction so made something wrong.. heres the new data.ini...  but i still get this error

I have tested it, got no problem for the 10 minutes playing with it.

 
Tested and everything working on: Fixed 2014 April client (2014-04-16aRagexe.exe).

will it be able to work if i use 20150301 version? else how do i get the 2014 version from the website?

20150301 is just a date of patch,

What affecting your client is the lua files, which you got from client translation project, doesnt matter if it 2015 or 2014 client pack,

the more uptodate one is the better.

I find myself in the same exact situation. In fact, I hexed every client I found, even fixed the nil issues, only to find this happening. The app simply stops responding and crashes.

After investigating, some of these clients would work on my older, decrepit computer, but wouldn't in my new, almost bleeding edge computer.

Just in case you were wondering, I was using the exact same folder with the exact same files in them, but on two different computers.

Meaning? Something was missing I suspect it to be a C++ redist containing runtime files. I have yet to test this but am currently downloading the 2013 redist. If this fails, the recommended redist is 2008,

which I will try later on, should 2013 fail. Hopefully though, it doesn't.

I find it odd though, I have VS2013, which should include it's runtime files. Will be testing nonetheless.

Update: I have redist for 2005 all the way to 2013. This means I'm missing something else.

I'm at a loss at this point. Just in case it matters, my net framework is 4.5

have you check your setup/opensetup?

does your video card present?

if not, that might the cause of problem.

if present, then set your exe with disabled UAC and run the compability with windows xp.
