  1. read this, specially the "tools" part

     

    That's the same job_db.conf i am using or isn't it? I don't want to change it to custom values with the "tool".

     

    Don't say me that the default Hercules job_db.conf SP Table (above 150) is broken and i have to change it with tools? Especially because it looks fine. (see my screenshot)

     

    Edit: found the problem... It might be a bug: I disabled renewal aspd in renewal.h. Hercules is using the pre-renewal job_db.conf with HP/SP Tables max level 150 with this setting. Mysteriously the HP was fine.


  2. I got a problem with my SP Tables for characters above level 150. Once you reach level 151, the SP changes to 1 SP (or a super low value). Seems like the SP Table is broken. My renewal job_db looks fine. (see screenshot)

     

    I dont't know what's wrong with it.

  3. In channels.conf, disable map channel autojoin for that #map joining message.

    Unknown revision means, you haven't downloaded from git , instead downloaded zip.

    I use TortoiseSVN. Any chance to manually add/edit the revision? (for personal information)

     

    Wildcard IP is warning from subnet.conf , where you are allowing all IP to connect to your char/map server(for server to server communication).

    So probably changing it to your ip(where the server is hosted) will remove that warning.

    That worked, too. I suppose it's network.conf? Don't have a subnet.conf. Also: is there a possibility to add this to the /import/ folder?


  4. I got the following message in my Server and Client:

     

    Exported revision 'Unknown' (src) / 'Unknown' (scripts)

     

    Not a serious problem, but why does it say 'Unknown' ?

     

     

    This is also displayed and i'm not sure what it means:

     

    Can't get bin name

    Can't get entries kind

    Can't get bin name

    Can't get entries kind

     

    The next message is a Warning:

     

    Using a wildcard IP range in the allowed server IPs is NOT RECOMMENDED.

     

    How do i change it? I don't even know a wildcard IP range.

  5. Thanks Garr. That's good but it goes too deep into map editing. I am now thinking of a script NPC or Mob.

     

    Is it possible to give NPCs or Mobs a effect? Like a NPC with a Aura, or invisible Sprite / NPC with Firewall effect.. burning Poring. etc.


  6. I am creating a custom login background with the help of the wiki: http://herc.ws/wiki/Login_Background

     

    So far everything works fine. I'm just wondering why there is a 4th row of textures for the Background since you just need 12 splits (3 rows) and not 16. Also: why is there .bmp and .tga format? It works well with .bmp only.

  7. I made a complete new hercules and SQL installation to make sure there is no problem with the server. The freeze still exists but i noticed something new:

     

    On my machine 1 where i am running the server, the client works fine without any freezes. If i use my other machine 2 (in the same local network) where i want to test play - the problem exists. The client on both machines is 100% identical. Both are on Windows 10 but machine 1 (server) is on 32bit, machine 2 on 64bit.

     

    Any idea what i should do? Can i exclude the server & sql as problem source?



    PROBLEM SOLVED:

     

    The recording software "Bandicam" caused the crashes. I think it's the FPS overlay.


  8. Did your .exe crash with a windows error message or just stopped working? I might have the same problem with my client which is freezing after the loading screen. No error on server or client is showing. Did that manual diff completely solved your problem?

     

    Edit: i tried to manually select the patches. No changes for me, still having freezes.

     

    The recording Software "Bandicam" caused freezes for me.


  9. I am using a 2015 client with the newprontera.grf and i noticed that Hercules is still on old Prontera in the background. The "layers" doesn't match. There are some parts you can't move and also some warps & npcs are at wrong position.

     

    Is there any patch or updated file to fix the layer issue?

     

    If not, is there any "oldprontera.grf" around to bring back the old prontera without using a old client & grf?
