mathewjacob 0 Posted April 14, 2025 Hi everyone, I'm currently working on optimizing the performance of a game server, and I wanted to ask for some advice from those of you with more experience in this area. Specifically, I'm dealing with performance issues where the server tends to lag, especially when multiple players are connected. I've already tried some basic steps like adjusting server settings and optimizing scripts, but the performance still isn't where I want it to be. I know there are deeper optimizations I could make, but I'm not sure which areas to focus on. Has anyone here worked on similar performance issues before? What tools or strategies have you found most effective in pinpointing and solving lag problems? Also, as I'm diving deeper into the technical side of development, I was thinking of taking a CISSP Course to improve my cybersecurity knowledge. Do you think it would help with securing the server while optimizing performance? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
