[HELP] Things i need to install on Linux.

hi guys,

 

i'm used to have my server on a VPS with RO Packages so all the things i need is installed there, so i dont know much anything..

 

so i saw this Awesome Hosting , DDosDeflect , so they said , they dont have RO packages so you need to install all everything what is need.



Now my question is,

 

Can someone Guide me, or Post the link the thing i need to install like for example. i need to install phpmyadmin,mysql and so on.

If your going to use CentOS try this guide:

then after that you need to open ports such as 80 for web connection so people can see your website if you wish to put it together with your emulator server.

the other ports are for your server 6900, 6121, 5121

after that follow the wiki guide for installing the server BUT instead of svn checkout use the GIT way http://herc.ws/board/topic/152-obtaining-hercules/?p=846

yes you need just phpmyadmin, mysql, allow ports and follow http://herc.ws/wiki/Installation_(CentOS)#Install_Prerequisites just skip svn checkout. and Install hercules via GIT.

on this server.

You don't need VNC on your VPS. You need to install MySQL Workbench on your workstation and set connection to your VPS through SSH.
