I kept trying to read and im pretty sure i almost have it, but there's something wrong or something missing.... I'm using 20131223 as my version, I was following the instructions in the setting up 2013 clients, and looking through ossi0110's full client package, but what step am I missing? I've tried to follow the settingup 2013, but I end up getting a "loki error" or when I click on the client itself it loads a window but it's completely a white screen. I tried following ossi0110's full client package, I made sure that everything is pointing to my IP which it is, but when I click on the client, it loads nothing. It's completely blank. I rebuilt the YourRO.grf since i updated the clientinfo.xml to point to my IP. I know that even with the blank, it is making a connection, cause it notices the attempted connection but again, still blank screen. What am I missing that would cause my RO to load in blank (no matter how I compiled it in NEMO) and not let any loaders work with it. Thanks! (or if anyone can explain to me if this is the order: build grf -> use Nemo to diff -> then setup loader -> success?)

LAN only. If you want to make other players connect with this. You need to port forward your router. Now if I have a static IP on a server (like not at a home router etc.) I can just replace all the localhost / 127.0.0.1 to my IP correct?

See I read through that, but I guess im getting stuck at the SQL end since im doing this through linux (centOS/redhat). I was reading other content that stated to set changes in the .txt files in the conf/import instead of the actual .conf files?

I've tried looking up this issue in Hercules,rAthena and even on eAthena boards but none of them seem to be conclusive as to what's causing this error. The server communication passwords are not default and have been set accordingly to the correct password. Also, since time of posting the SQL updates have already been applied. But here's where I'm stuck at, what did I miss that keeps stopping me from going further? Thanks.

Thanks. That made it work! Just have to fix mysql db's lol. Also, is there a way to force the packet version? (even though I ran the configure with 20130807) "[Warning]: conf/battle/feature.conf banking is enabled but it requires PACKETVER 2013-07-24 or newer, disabling..."

Ran that which seemed to compile the rest of it, but do I need to run make sql after the make plugins command?

I tried my best looking over information from here and google, but Ive left no choice but to make a topic! Anyways, I've attempted to try setting up hercules on my ubuntu server, via ssh. I've read that installation is similar to rAthena, but long story short, when I send the command "make sql" it creates a login-server, char-server and map-server in the folder, but not login-server_sql, char-server_sql or map-server_sql. Steps I've done so far: Obtained hercules via git, ( Git clone, git pull, and even git commit -a) Then ran ./configure --enable-packetver=20130807 and ./configure --enable-64bit first, then I run make sql, but during the process warnings come up about: for several pieces in login, map, char folders in the /src. This is where im stuck in trying to setup. What did I mess up? or what am I missing? Other things I've tried were attempting the build directory and running those commands then the make install would also fail because when trying to run cmake "svn: "not a working directory" would come up. Sorry for all the text, but hoping that someone has an answer! Thanks.

Nice to meet you all, Trying my hand at getting a server up and running as a project for work, and after wanting to have my own, I've decided to go the Hercules route. (also days of lurking) I hope to learn a lot through the process and have something stable within the next few days. My background is more design related, but am trying to get into coding/scripting etc.
