Hercules + windows xp?

Hi there! im new to hercules here, downloaded pre-compiled version from downloads section, it says "32 bit" but when i try to run exe's inside it i got error like "server.exe is not a win32 application" :< :< :< 

 

is it possible to run it on windows xp (sp3) ??

if i compile it using visual studio, will it run??

or should i upgrade to win7 first?

it run smoothly on window xp just recompile it

can you pls share your compiled version??? hercules-master like on git page...please.. i dont have internet at home and connection speed at local cafes just suck..and visual studio is so heavy :< would be very grateful!!
