Change item descriptions without releasing another GRF

Hi, so I own my own server, and I recently tried to change the item descriptions to some of my custom items.
However, this was done through the GRF, which is located in my game file and not my SQL file.
So I used a grf editor, ripped the data folder form it and uploaded it to my sql folder.
However... Because I wasnt thinking straight, I couldnt reconnect to my server without my GRF actually inside my game folder.

All of my item_db/ mob_db ect are all in the sql folder, so its just a case of changing and recompiling and items are changed.
But item descriptions are in the GRF, in the game folder and NOT in the sql folder.

How can I edit my item descriptions ect, and have them implemented into the game, without having to release another GRF to everyone playing my server?
