Import folder works for. Txt?

I read on Wiki that "import folder" only works for files. "Conf". http://herc.ws/wiki/Import_folder 

 

To facilitate the update of the emulator, the rAthena, I update 99% of the files as skill_db.txt, pet_db.txt, quest_db.txt, item_db.txt, item_cash_db.txt, item_trade.txt and other import by creating a folder in db. I'm starting the migration rAthena Hercules and wanted to confirm if I can create a folder to import or edit these files really only works for. "Conf" because some of the files I edit are constantly in Hercules. Txt and not. "Conf" .

In the case of item_db I can add the "import" folder with a clean file only new items or items that I edit they will be added / overwritten normal itemdb. Or need to copy the entire original file and add my changes on his end?
