    Avian reacted to OnNplay in [ tutorial ] Preparing database ragnarok for pre-compiled Hercules
    Working around in MySQL console for database ragnarok.     This tutorial is mainly to support the release of pre-compiled Hercules for Win32 by me, OnNplay. Never-the-less it also closer to linux command line instead of using phpMyAdmin, HeidiSQL, Navicat, MySQL Workbench and other MySQL GUI client program. Hopefully, you will getting more confident to use PuTTY when you subscribe service such as VPS or dedicated server.     Lets do our first mysql database "ragnarok" and also our first mysql user "ragnarok". To state the command I used quote character "command here;". Please ignore it when you type or select and copy.     1. Download, install WAMP Server and start it. On desktop taskbar near the clock, click WAMPSERVER - server Online > MySQL > MySQL console .     2. Now active MySQL console window is open asking you to "Enter password:". By default WAMP Server logging into MySQL console as "root" and no password. So just press Enter. Now you in the MySQL service enviroment. You should see "Welcome" followed by some texts ending with line "mysql>".     3. You need to change your user "root" password. Type "use mysql;" and you should see "Database changed". Command "UPDATE user SET password=PASSWORD('newpassword') WHERE user='root';". Type "update user set password=password('w4mps3rv3r') where user='root';" and press Enter.
    The "newpassword" is at your own wish. After pressing Enter, you should see "Query OK," followed by some texts ending with line "mysql>".     4. For the change to take effect on MySQL service, you need to type "flush privileges;" and press Enter.     5. Now you should test the new root's password. Type "quit;" and press Enter. MySQL console window will close. Do step no.1. Enter your new root's password and press Enter. After the line of "mysql>" appear, MySQL service enviroment is ready to execute mysql's commands. When you type a wrong or incomplete command, console will response with "->".  What you need to do is just type ";" and press Enter.     6. Now you going to create a database to be used by Hercules emulator. By default Hercules will connecting to IP "127.0.0.1" port "3306" on database "ragnarok". Command "CREATE DATABASE database-name;". For deleting database, command "DROP DATABASE database-name;". Type "use mysql;" and press Enter.
    Next type "create database ragnarok;" and press Enter. Check the existence of your database, type "use mysql; show databases;" and press Enter.     7. Now you going to create one mysql user for Hercules to use. Do not let Hercules to use user "root". By default Hercules used mysql user "ragnarok" and it's password also "ragnarok". Command "CREATE USER 'user-name'@'host-name/IP' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';".For deleting user, command "DROP USER user-name;". Now type "create user 'ragnarok'@'localhost' identified by 'ragnarok';" and press Enter.
    Next you should do step no.4. To check the existence of user "ragnarok", type "use mysql; select user from mysql.user;" and press Enter.     8. You already create database "ragnarok" and user "ragnarok" in MySQL service. MySQL user can't simply access database without permission. Now you as a user "root" need to allow user "ragnarok" to access database "ragnarok". Command "GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON database-name.table-name TO 'user-name'@'host-name/IP';".For removing user to acces any database, command "REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* FROM 'user-name'@'host-name/IP';". Now type "grant all privileges on ragnarok.* to 'ragnarok'@'localhost';" and press Enter.
    Next you should do step no.4.     9. You should test the user "ragnarok". Type "quit;" and press Enter. MySQL console window will close. Now open folder where WAMP Server is installed and find where is file "mysql.exe" is located. During the making of this tutorial "mysql.exe" appear as "mysql" is located in "C:wampbinmysqlmysql5.6.12bin". Do not select any file inside the folder, if any one of the files is selected clear the select by clicking area after column "Size". Point arrow inside the folder, hold down the Shift key and at the same time do a right-click. Click "Open command window here". Type "mysql -uragnarok -p" and press Enter. You should see "Enter password:". Now type "ragnarok" and press Enter.     10. Here you going to prepare a text file for later use. Find and open folder "sql-files" which come with Hercules package. All the required files are with an extension ".sql" and can be read using Notepad++. Don't waste your time now to read it. Those files are containing default tables for database preparation. To get the full path of each file is by hold down the Shift key and do a right-click on the file, click "Copy as path". Next paste it in Notepad or Notepad++. Alternatively you also able to select all files and "Copy as path" too. The full path will come with quote character " " at beginning and ending. Delete it. Before file full path, add "source " with one space after it. Prepare file full path line by line so it easy for you to select and copy. Maybe you named the text file as "hercules-source-sql.txt".   Before "C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db_re.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db2.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db_re.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db2.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db2_re.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-fileslogs.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmain.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db_re.sql""C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db2.sql"
    After source C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db_re.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_skill_db2.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db_re.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db2.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db2_re.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-fileslogs.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmain.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db_re.sqlsource C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesmob_db2.sql
    11. Now you going to fill up database "ragnarok" with default tables. Back to step no.9 and file "hercules-source-sql.txt" opened for select and copy. Type "use ragnarok;" and press Enter. You should see "Database changed". Next inside the console, copy and paste "source C:UsersOnnplayDesktopHerculestrunksql-filesitem_db.sql" and press Enter. You should see many "Query OK," running till "mysql>" appear again. Repeat with other full path of your sql files. After filling up database "ragnarok", you may check how many tables are created. Type "show tables;" and press Enter. Total row is a total table in database. During the making of this tutorial, Hercules is at Revision 12214 supplied with 12 sql files producing total of 52 tables.     12. If you follow correctly this tutorial, Hercules emulator can run smoothly by now. Type "quit;"  and press Enter to close the MySQL console.

    Hi guys i have fixed the bugs in Disable HShield and Restore Login Window (i believe).

    Anyways the client had some extra baggage inside (looks like Gravity is giving garbage bytes for christmas). I have cleaned it up and uploaded the new
    client => https://www.mediafire.com/?cc4vfdrdd4r15hb

    This should fix most of the other patches. Im looking into the remaining.

    Please update NEMO to the latest revision (i hope you are using the subversion link).

    Here is my christmas gift to Hercules. I wish you all have an awesome holiday and nice time with family.
    I have included an xdiff file, but I recommend (when he manage to fix the multiple grf) you to use NEMO Client Patcher made by Neo.

    You need to add the PacketShuffle stuff into src/map/packets.h, just follow the files pattern,
    then edit src/common/mmo.h and change the PACKETVER to 20131223
    do a recompile and the client will be able to connect.

    This is a very new client, and it will probably require resources from the latest kRO updates.
    so kRO will need to be fully updated, i recommend to use RO Patcher Lite made by Ai4rei.

    1. Concept

    Hello. This is one of those times that I'm proud to show one of my best maps I've done so far, since it comes with plenty of new features. Coliseum, is really an impressive map, full of life thanks by the use of animation in rigged 3d models.

    This is a commision I had, however its not a private map. Its available to anyone who wills to pay/invest on his server. Anyone interested, contact me as usual.

    The whole main idea was to create a circular colosseum although the ambience style was intended to be a little different than this. I was inspired by the movie -gladiator- where there is a clandestine colosseum outside of Rome where slaves are forced to fight.

    I loved those flags that I guess covers the sun/sand in the reference for the spectators. I really had to try that on my map. Thats what I did, and that structure was a must to add animation aswell.

    2. Features

    Colosseum comes with new features in mapping that I've been trying so far:
    [*]Rigging and animation in Palm Trees and Flags: This animation is based in bones/articulations and its working thanks by the GR2 project of animated mobs in 3D. They are loaded as none-clickeable NPC in game. Please watch the video to get what I mean!

    [*]The circular core of the colosseum, the stairs, were made and texturized in 3D from scratch. Atm I'm focussing into the way Ragnarok has it textures which for me they tend to have a grainy surface and shadows on some edges. Thats what I did aswell

    [*]Effects like sand, and a dense fog that you can see if you move the camera at a high zoom, gives the feeling I was looking for.

    3. Video *watch in HD 1080p*

    Please I suggest you to watch the video. This map comes with animation that you can't see on screensshots!

    4. Screenshots

    Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.

    N.E.M.O. - Neo Exe Modification Organizer

    Why another client patcher? well
    1) WeeDiffGen - isn't working for 2013 clients + it depends on dlls (not that its a bad thing but i like scripting )
    2) xDiffGen - yes its scripted but we need to depend on xdiff files.

    so i made a new one based on xDiffGen and here it is. The patches are written in QtScript format.
    Details of making a patch have already been written in a seperate topic - although now it needs to be updated with more details.
    I have already converted most of the patches from xDiffGen.

    Why this name? - well I didn't want it to be called * Gen No offense
    plus someone keeps calling me Nemo in IRC which gave me the idea

    Snapshot
    -----------------

    How to use?
    ---------------------
    1) First you need to specify your client file in Input Exe file box. If you browse to select the file name, Output Patched box gets updated with a _patched suffix filename automatically. Ofcourse you can select your own name for the output.

    2) Next we need to load both the client and the scripts (patches & addons). so click Load Client button.

    3) Select the patches you want . In case you patched once before (for whatever date) they will be saved in your local and you can use the Select Previous button to select them again. Also you can try using the Select Rcomnded button to select all the Recommended patches.

    4) So your patches are selected and client is loaded what next but to Apply Patches  which will generate the output file. In 2.0 version , NEMO also generates a .secure.txt file containing the MD5, SHA1 and CRC32 values of the output exe file which you can use in various tools.

    5) You can use the Save Profile and  Load Profile buttons for saving/reloading a set of patches & input values, that you have selected (even if they are not applied) for future use.

    6) Whenever you apply patches to a client, NEMO updates the patchlist.log file (along with Inputlist.db) in the folder where NEMO.exe is. This file will contain the list of patches you have applied along with their IDs (do not tamper with either of them).

    Changes in 2.0:
    ----------------------
    1) I have made some obvious modifications to the interface (you can definitely see the change in case you have seen v1.0).
         i) Buttons have come downwards and is no longer strippable (toolbar has been fixed in position)

         ii) New status Label has been added which shows your currently loaded client date and how many patches are selected.

         iii) NEMO now has support for Addons - scripts that are meant to retrieve data from the client and do its own thing (not patch the client).
              All the Extract xDiff patches has been added here already. 1 extra addon will be coming soon once i can fix it.

         iv) New Filter box has been added which does live search (i.e. filter as you type) for filtering out only the patches u want to see.
               For e.g. if you type color, it will only show patches that have the string color in either it's name or the description.
              You can also use regular expression . Also you can sort the columns now

        v) An upcoming feature - Test Patches. this one you can use for testing a newly added patch for a variety of clients that you select.

    2) NEMO is no longer there in SVN. I have shifted it to GitHub . The rar file uploaded has the .git file so you should be able to directly pull to get updates. But just in case I have also provided the repository link below.

    Remember to pull for updates before using NEMO and let me know if you are facing any bugs or issues or if i have missed out on anything. Enjoy .

    Avian reacted to Haru in Item DB file structure overhaul
    Item DB file structure overhaul

    Hello~! Uguu~?!
    We noticed that the Item Database file format, unchanged for years, is less than optimal (read: terrible)
    The file is really hard to read (is it the fifteenth or the sixteenth zero? No wait, that line has an extra comma!!) Whenever you merge an update, if you had a customized entry, you're sure to encounter large conflicts that won't be trivial to solve How do we fix it?
    We're switching to a brand new, modern, file format, making use of the libconfig library we're already using for other configuration files.
    It uses libconfig. This means the parser is more solid and, perhaps not faster, but surely easier to maintain, with simpler code. And the file format is something you're already used to, since it's the same as many other configuration files we use! Empty fields and the long sequences of those hard to count commas are gone! You just specify the fields you need, and the others can be completely skipped. The item_db2 entries can be left incomplete and set to inherit the original item_db entry. If you have a custom script for your Knife[3], you can just write the script in your item_db, and let it read the other values from the item_db, so that if we update them, you get the update automatically Item scripts can be split into several lines, so they can made easier to read, especially the long ones. We can finally add more fields (to support new features) to the file at any time, easily and without having to edit all the lines (or force you to edit all the lines of your custom item_db2)! Pre-Renewal and Renewal Item databases now use the same format. This also means that you can make use of the min/max level feature in both renewal and pre-renewal (of course, pre-renewal servers will ignore the Matk field, if you specify it, since it's meaningless there) What does it look like?

    Each entry follows this structure:
    {     // =================== Mandatory fields ===============================     Id: ID                        (int)     AegisName: "Aegis_Name"       (string, optional if Inherit: true)     Name: "Item Name"             (string, optional if Inherit: true)     // =================== Optional fields ================================     Type: Item Type               (int, defaults to 3 = etc item)     Buy: Buy Price                (int, defaults to Sell * 2)     Sell: Sell Price              (int, defaults to Buy / 2)     Weight: Item Weight           (int, defaults to 0)     Atk: Attack                   (int, defaults to 0)     Matk: Magical Attack          (int, defaults to 0, ignored in pre-re)     Def: Defense                  (int, defaults to 0)     Range: Attack Range           (int, defaults to 0)     Slots: Slots                  (int, defaults to 0)     Job: Job mask                 (int, defaults to all jobs = 0xFFFFFFFF)     Upper: Upper mask             (int, defaults to any = 0x3f)     Gender: Gender                (int, defaults to both = 2)     Loc: Equip location           (int, required value for equipment)     WeaponLv: Weapon Level        (int, defaults to 0)     EquipLv: Equip required level (int, defaults to 0)     EquipLv: [min, max]           (alternative syntax with min / max level)     Refine: Refineable            (boolean, defaults to true)     View: View ID                 (int, defaults to 0)     Script: <"         Script         (it can be multi-line)     ">     OnEquipScript: <" OnEquip Script (can also be multi-line) ">     OnUnequipScript: <" OnUnequip Script (can also be multi-line) ">     // =================== Optional fields (item_db2 only) ================     Inherit: true/false           (boolean, if true, inherit the values                                   that weren't specified, from item_db.conf,                                   else override it and use default values) }, Here's a Red Potion in the old format:
    501,Red_Potion,Red Potion,0,50,,70,,,,,0xFFFFFFFF,7,2,,,,,,{ itemheal rand(45,65),0; },{},{} And here's the same Red Potion in the new format:
    {     Id: 501     AegisName: "Red_Potion"     Name: "Red Potion"     Type: 0     Buy: 50     Weight: 70     Script: <" itemheal rand(45,65),0; "> }, Not convinced yet it's easier to read? Okay, let's try a Poison Bottle:
    678,Poison_Bottle,Poison Bottle,2,5000,,100,,,,,0xFFFFFFFF,7,2,,,,,,{ if(Class==Job_Assassin_Cross) { sc_start SC_DPOISON,60000,0; sc_start SC_ATTHASTE_INFINITY,60000,0; } else percentheal -100,-100; },{},{} changes to:
    {     Id: 678     AegisName: "Poison_Bottle"     Name: "Poison Bottle"     Type: 2     Buy: 5000     Weight: 100     Script: <"         if(Class==Job_Assassin_Cross) {             sc_start SC_DPOISON,60000,0;             sc_start SC_ATTHASTE_INFINITY,60000,0;         }         else percentheal -100,-100;     "> }, Better, isn't it!? Let's now try a Jellopy:
    909,Jellopy,Jellopy,3,6,,10,,,,,,,,,,,,,,{},{},{} Count the commas! Did I miss any? An extra comma you say? No, I don't want to count them, thanks...

Old or new format?

    Want to see an example that specifies both min and max levels? Here you go:
    {     Id: 2819     AegisName: "Swordman_Manual"     Name: "Swordman Manual"     Type: 5     Buy: 0     Weight: 100     Job: 0x00000001     Upper: 47     Loc: 136     EquipLv: [1, 12]     Refine: false     Script: <"         bonus bMaxSP,100;         skill SM_BASH,1;         skill SM_PROVOKE,1;         skill SM_MAGNUM,1;     "> }, Okay, one last example. Let's try to make an item_db2 entry for a Pupa Card that gives a bonus of 1000 HP rather than just 700.
    {     Id: 4003     Inherit: true     Script: <" bonus bMaxHP,1000; "> }, Done. No need to rewrite the name, location, prices... those are already in the item_db!

    But... I have several custom items, do I have to manually convert all of them...?

    Of course you do! No, I'm kidding, don't hate me

    It's true that you need to convert your item database to the new format, but we can do it for you!
    Go to http://haru.ws/hercules/itemdbconverter/ and paste (or upload) your item_db2.txt (or even your item_db.txt if you have custom entries there), press the Convert button, wait a few seconds and you're done! It's already converted for you. Easy, isn't it? Don't trust us? No, no, we don't need your custom items, you can sleep safe... But if you still don't want to paste anything on a website... well, we have provided the source code of the converter script! It's in the 'tools' folder of the Hercules repository. All you need is a Perl interpreter (and if you're running Linux or Mac OS, on either your server or your own computer, it's almost certain that you already have that). All you have to do is run it (example: perl tools/itemdbconverter.pl < db/item_db2.txt > db/item_db2.conf), and your item database will be converted in a split second! What if I was using SQL item databases?

    Well... Then you won't have to worry about the txt databases, unless you were creating the items in txt, then converting them to sql (if you're not doing this, maybe you should consider it, you know? It's easier to create and manage them in txt even if you use the sql version!)

    If you were converting your custom item databases from the txt version to sql through the db2sql plugin, there are good news for you! We just updated the plugin, and now it's able to create a .sql script rather than just inserting the entries into your database. This means that you can create the SQL entries in your own computer, without even needing a database (just a copy of Hercules), without risking to slow down your server, and then upload them whenever you want.

    And if you're relying on the .sql scripts we provide... well, there are still good news for you! Outdated item_db.sql files are a thing of the past now: those scripts will get updated automatically after every commit by our HerculesWS API bot, exactly like the HPM Hooks!

    As a final note, now the pre-re and re databases share the same structure in SQL as well! no more column mismatch if you're trying to import into your Renewal server an item that was meant for pre-renewal.

    If you have data already imported to your item_db2 SQL table, it'll be updated to the new table format through the regular upgrade sql mechanism (just run the provided script in the sql-files/upgrades folder). Please note that the script requires MySQL 5.0 or newer -- if you're still on MySQL 4.0, please open it in a text editor, read the comments and run the provided queries manually.

    I have this event item entry that came with an old script I downloaded...

    No worries, you can get it converted. Use the same script (or the provided web page) you'd use to convert an entire item database, it'll work just fine even for an item or two!

    Special thanks
    To Ind, for bringing up the idea and pushing it forward until it was implemented. And for his awesome work on the HerculesWS API and database converter plugin. To Yommy, for the original idea, and for some invaluable help finalizing the actual database format. Links~u!
    Main commit. Removed redundant item_db2_re.sql (now both have the same structure). db2sql plugin update. item_db2 inheritance. item_db2 SQL upgrade script.

    Git Troubleshooting
    Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge.Aborting.Git doesn't update modified files even if they don't conflict unless they're properly "committed" in your local working copy, to do so is simple and advantageous (it will keep a log of your changes for yourself; so you can always go back and check what was changed and when)
    - On Unixgit commit -am "your log message, anything at all" - On Windows
    1. Right click your folder -> Git Commit -> "master"
    2. (optional) type the log message
    3. Hit 'OK'

    Avian reacted to Patskie in [Guide] How to setup hercules
    There is an existing server installation guide made by Diconfrost VaNz on this topic but this is outdated. So let me give ample time to share my experience on how to install Hercules SVN on your local machine.

    1. To obtain hercules, refer to Ind's topic
    2. Go to conf/char-server.conf and look for the code below :
    // Server Communication username and password.userid: s1passwd: p1
    Set s1 and p1 to anything you want but take note of them as you will use them later on when you move to SQL portion of this installation.

    In my case, i will use patskie since it is my screen name.
    // Server Communication username and password.userid: patskiepasswd: patskie
    3. Set your server name? Find this line also on your conf/char-server.conf. Change it to whatever you want :
    // Server name, use alternative character such as ASCII 160 for spaces.// NOTE: Do not use spaces or any of these characters which are not allowed in //       Windows filenames /:*?"<>|//       ... or else guild emblems won't work client-side!server_name: Hercules
    4. Remove // on the following code :
    //login_ip: 127.0.0.1
    //char_ip: 127.0.0.1 Note : 127.0.0.1 means localhost, local machine.

    5. Save and exit
    6. Now go to conf/map-server.conf
    7. Same to what you have did in conf/char-server.conf :
    //--------------------------------------------------------------//                     Configuration Info//--------------------------------------------------------------// Interserver communication passwords, set in account.txt (or equiv.)userid: patskiepasswd: patskie
    8. Remove // on the following code :
    //char_ip: 127.0.0.1
    //map_ip: 127.0.0.1
    9. Once you're done. Save and exit.
    10. Now go to conf/inter-server.conf
    11. Set the following code :
    // Global SQL settings// overriden by local settings when the hostname is defined there// (currently only the login-server reads/obeys these settings)sql.db_hostname: 127.0.0.1sql.db_port: 3306sql.db_username: rootsql.db_password: ragnaroksql.db_database: herculessql.codepage:// MySQL Character SQL serverchar_server_ip: 127.0.0.1char_server_port: 3306char_server_id: rootchar_server_pw: ragnarokchar_server_db: hercules// MySQL Map SQL Servermap_server_ip: 127.0.0.1map_server_port: 3306map_server_id: rootmap_server_pw: ragnarokmap_server_db: hercules// MySQL Log SQL Databaselog_db_ip: 127.0.0.1log_db_port: 3306log_db_id: rootlog_db_pw: ragnaroklog_db_db: loglog_codepage:log_login_db: loginlog Note : Use 127.0.0.1 as ip because you will run these server on your local machine. Use root as the database id because by default MySQL workbench uses root as username. And finally ragnarok as database password which is configurable by users. Set map, char an sql database to hercules and set log database to loginlog

    12. Once done, Save and exit
    13. Now go to src/common/mmo.h and find the following code :
    #ifndef PACKETVER #define PACKETVER 20120418#endif Change to :
    #ifndef PACKETVER #define PACKETVER 20100730#endif Note : You can change 20120418 (2012-04-18) to whatever client-date you want. In my case i will use 2010-07-30 client (20100730).

    14. Save and exit.
    15. Now let's go to mysql part.
    16. Download MySQL workbench here. Why workbench? More convenient to use.
    17. Once you are finished downloading and installing. Download WAMP server here because workbench will not start functioning if you do not have WAMP server
    18. Once you are finished downloading and installing wampserver. Run it
    19. Open mysql workbench
    20. Add user and password into it. Follow this guide. Make sure you set username as root and password as ragnarok because this is the credentials located on your conf/inter-server.conf
    21. Create a server instance and connection. Just click New Connection for creating connection and click New Server Instance for creating a new server instance everything there are self explanatory
    22. More likely you must have the following : ( Check image below )

    23. At the left portion of the application. You can see schemas. Right click on one of them (test schema) and click on create schema
    24. Set the name of the schema to hercules because that is the credential we put in our inter-server
    25. Create also a schema log
    26. Double click hercules schema
    27. Under file located at the bottom of the home button ( upper left to be exact ) click Open SQL Script and locate sql script on sql-files/main.sql, open it and execute ( you can find execute button at the upper portion of the text editor of mysql workbench it looks like a thunder xD )
    28. Double click log schema
    29. Under file located at the bottom of the home button ( upper left to be exact ) click Open SQL Script and locate sql script on sql-files/logs.sql, open it and execute ( you can find execute button at the upper portion of the text editor of mysql workbench it looks like a thunder xD )
    30. Once everything is set double click again hercules schema
    31. Execute the following code
    SELECT * FROM login; 32. Change userid, user_pass to the credentials you have put on both char-server and map-server.conf
    33. Click apply.
    34. Once done, go back to your server files and compile everything using Microsoft Visual Studio 2009 or 2010 or 2012

    Note :
    Microsoft Visual Studio 2009 = Hercules-9
    Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 = Hercules-10
    Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 = Hercules-12

    35. Open it via C++
    36. In my case i am using MVS 2010, Highlight char-server, login-server, map-server, mapcache at the left portion of the application. Right click on it and click Build Selection
    37. Check image for successful compilation, Once done exit the application

    38. Now you're done! Run run-server.bat on main folder

    I hope this guide help other people who find it difficult to install hercules svn on your local machine. Actually this guide is not hard. I just divided the guide into small chunks so that people will understand more. If you think that any portion of installation is not included in my guide or maybe in some way not good or not correct then feel free to post it.

    Additional Notes :
    - If you want other people to connect then you must port forward your router, or you can use other application like hamachi
    - If any error occur feel free to post it here. Make sure you will post it in a detailed manner. Post screenshot if possible
    - I include a diff client for 2010-07-30 since i use it in this guide
