  2. Good news everyone! (insert Farnsworth voice) Midgard Community is even more faster! We've drastically cut down page speed loads by 5-7 seconds. Each page now should be loading, approximately, 500ms to 2 seconds.
  3. Hahha. I just responded to your topic before I saw this.
  4. Very nice! I'll see what I can do with this at Midgard Community Edit: Dang. Severely outdated. It needs a lot of tender care. xD
  5. Site Optimization and Security I've recently finished optimizing Midgard Community for faster loading speeds and security and now Midgard Community: Loads 2x faster Uses 60% less bandwidth Has 65% fewer requests And is way more secure
  6. Dang. Some of the wings that have tons of detail must've taken you a long time to do.
  7. Today marks the day we say goodbye to Ind. It's been a pleasure working with Ind for several years. He has been a great asset to Hercules and the Ragnarok Community over the years. For now, we bid a good farewell to an awesome developer of the Ragnarok Community. Ind will be leaving the RO scene for personal reasons, but may come back in the future. Although Ind is leaving Hercules, Hercules will not die. Hercules will now be lead by Haru and I. Myself and the rest of the staff would like to thank Ind for all of his hard work and dedication throughout the RO emulator projects! With this change in mind, there had to be a domain change (herc.ws). The old domain (herc.ws) will still be available for the time being, but we recommend using herc.ws and changing all your bookmarks. We believe herc.ws was the best way to go for a domain change... pretty much 'cause all other domains were taken, or were too long then what we wanted (i.e. hercules-emu.org).

  10. Month of May Digest for MC! The month of May has been a busy one for MC! With the rebranding of our main site and forum and partial on our pre-renewal database, we've hit great peeks! We have over 32 servers now currently listed with 8 being newly listed in the month of May (big step from being 1/2 a month). MC has been getting a lot of hits and new visitors everyday in May ranging from about 30-100 visits a day and sometimes peeking to 150-350. We have gotten 31 new accounts registered with MC in the Month of May! Our downloads system (ever since it has been publicly accessible) we've hit 35 files uploaded within about 2-3 days. I'd like to thank everyone for helping Midgard Community grow! Can't wait to see what June will bring MC!
  11. Also, Xray use the be the old way of getting Clients. They didn't have all this lua/lub, system folder, etc. back in the day . Just ran off of multiple .txt files in the /data folder. Search Xray in the eAthena archives and you'll see.
  12. Yes. Now I'm confused too. It looks more like a project instead so I'll be moving it until you have proper information to advertise.
  13. That's the "New eAthena" that has died pretty much once again thanks to Para. The old eAthena is in the forum archives.
  14. hiiii Mysteriouss very thanksss!!! Please add your websites btw.
  15. Same. We could of made eA live if it wasn't for him.
  16. Download System We like to welcome our own download system into the public now! We recently just opened up our download system: http://www.midgard-community.com/the-download-push/ The future of our download system is to be the #1 housing area for all Ragnarok catered downloads ranging from: tools, sprites, gears, sheets, maps, etc.! It seems that TSR (The Sprite Repository) is now offline and no longer available for users, Midgard Community will take its place! Ever since we opened up our download system, we are being populated with all sorts of new files! Check it out: http://www.board.midgard-community.com/files/
  17. Well the idea too is that, it wouldn't be just for the individual player. Owners can do a wide boost of rates or something for getting 5 extra reviews, etc.
  18. If you're browsing through the database, http://www.database.midgard-community.com it's currently going over a redesign as well. You can see the difference between the pre-re and re db.
  19. There has been always a debate regarding incentives. There is a lot of strong talk regarding server owners providing incentives for their players when it comes to Voting. This can be in a form of points or items. However, there is no incentives for writing reviews for a server. I know for a fact that there are servers (typically small ones) that give incentives for their players to write reviews. I can see why this may be an issue to write reviews due to the authentication of the reviews if bribed to just write them. In the end of the day, what is the goal? The goal from the voting and reviewing? The end goal is to make your server stand out; by being at the top of the listings. So why is it really good to have the one, but not the other? Please keep in mind this topic is not for bantering, flaming, harassing, etc. This is just merely an informative topic to gather opinions of server owners, server players, and the community at large.
  20. Please use only English in this section of the forums.
  21. Yea, we have both RE and PRE.
