Installation CentOS

Hello Hercules,

 

I've been trying to install Hercules in my VPS running CentOS, following this guide http://herc.ws/wiki/Installation_(CentOS) and I'm having problem in the "Import MySQL Tables"

 

When I type cd sql-files/, this will be the output

 

 

Hoping that anyone can guide and help me with my error.

Do u have mysql installed.? Since this is unmanaged vps, mysql, phpmyadmin need to be installed manually..

mysql -u root -pROOT_PASSWORD_HERE YOUR_MAIN_DB < main.sql

You need to replace Your own Root password you used while setting up MySQL and the database that you created..

yup.. if u buy unmanage vps, u need to installed firs apache, phpmyadmin, mysql.. it such 3 packages in 1. xD

No it isn't,

however, you don't need them for RO Server, they are needed for webserver

so server is seperated from database? vps/dedicated for running a server and web hosting for the database?

u can use apache webserver in the same vps. no need to use separate web hosting. this is for unmanage vps. u can just setup apache webserver. then create virtual host for flux control panel & thor for client patch.

By default. Ur centos got 1 virtual host on port 80. On web browser. Type ur vps IP & enter. U will see apache test page. Next step is. Using winscp. Go to /var/www. U will see html folder there. /var/www is the folder for the virtusl host directory. Copy the flux folder inside there & reneme it as html. (Please delete the original html folder). Try first.
