How to transform kanji into characters?

I have a date folder that is giving error when being read by the fact that the folders are with Japanese digits, I would like to know how I do to convert them to the characters that are accepted.

Using grf editor in the upper menu you see the way how the items will be extracted, unicode (with korean text) or asni (with ocidental characters)
