  1. 1. Concept Here comes another map which has another new feature I've tried so far. I showed this one on my facebook site and people loved it and they were really interested about how I did these lights on it. Perhaps some mappers wants to give a try to this. The Gambling Capital is a small map or a small area inspired in Las Vegas. My customer asked me to recreate a "modern city" full of life and colors. In the reference you can see the caesars palace in las vegas and thats kinda the idea of the map: iluminate everything. 2. Features [*]Light on models: There are plenty of color lights on the structures as also in some palm trees in the map. This effect was possible by doing a looot of tests and errors in game. [*]Some custom buildings to fit the modern style. [*]Effects everywhere! sparklights, fireworks, and so on [*]Some representative neon signs, like, the market area has some pots on it. The cabaret area, 2 alligators having fun. The casino, some dices and that sort of stuff. [*]3. Video *watch in HD 1080p* If you want to enjoy the fireworks, please watch the video 4. Screenshots Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.
  2. I think its a lot of work. This kind of things should be better if the topic begins with the author offering his help to others, to make this kind of things. Not just expecting other people to do such a very hard work.
  3. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I forgot to mention that the map has 2 versions. One with the stairs available for spectators and another one without that
  4. 1. Concept Hello. This is one of those times that I'm proud to show one of my best maps I've done so far, since it comes with plenty of new features. Coliseum, is really an impressive map, full of life thanks by the use of animation in rigged 3d models. This is a commision I had, however its not a private map. Its available to anyone who wills to pay/invest on his server. Anyone interested, contact me as usual. The whole main idea was to create a circular colosseum although the ambience style was intended to be a little different than this. I was inspired by the movie -gladiator- where there is a clandestine colosseum outside of Rome where slaves are forced to fight. I loved those flags that I guess covers the sun/sand in the reference for the spectators. I really had to try that on my map. Thats what I did, and that structure was a must to add animation aswell. 2. Features Colosseum comes with new features in mapping that I've been trying so far: [*]Rigging and animation in Palm Trees and Flags: This animation is based in bones/articulations and its working thanks by the GR2 project of animated mobs in 3D. They are loaded as none-clickeable NPC in game. Please watch the video to get what I mean! [*]The circular core of the colosseum, the stairs, were made and texturized in 3D from scratch. Atm I'm focussing into the way Ragnarok has it textures which for me they tend to have a grainy surface and shadows on some edges. Thats what I did aswell [*]Effects like sand, and a dense fog that you can see if you move the camera at a high zoom, gives the feeling I was looking for. 3. Video *watch in HD 1080p* Please I suggest you to watch the video. This map comes with animation that you can't see on screensshots! 4. Screenshots Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups. Comments are always apreciated. Thank you in advance
  5. At the time you export your FBX you have to enable the -animations- option; ah and btw, WoW animated models have bugs in their animation at the end frame that you must fix manually. Also, please post in the proper forums. The showcase forum is not the place to ask for support.
  6. @everyone Thank you. I appreciate those nice ratings Yea actually that was the idea of the map. To focuss on the style/great overall look rather than functionality like npcs. If you look at the references, the buildings are really crowded, I decided to follow the idea here.
  7. 1. Concept Hi everyone! Here comes my third naruto map from a lot to come. Currenly I've been working with a plenty amount of servers that are based on this anime, and they have asked me these kind of works. The first reference was used for the modeling part. All the models were new and they were modeled/texturized upon the request of this work. I took 4 elements of that image to improve the style of the map an make it near as possible of how it is in real. The second reference was mostly for getting the idea of how this city is "in a hole"? of mountains. Its kinda like a crater. And last, the third reference was for getting the idea of lights, pathways. All together was enough to recreate the map to a great level, that I hope you will like. Comments are always appreciated, thank you in advance for taking your time to write a review. 2. Features Sunagakure comes with a lot of new features in mapping I've tried here. Some to mention: [*]Its not a night map but its global shadow is tweaked to have that twilight style [*]The main 8 roads/stairs. At first I did them by doing a terrain edit in browedit, but, I had an issue: you really cant rotate those roads in brow to make the diagonal ones. What I did was, using the full map exporter to FBX (documentation of it on in my Olrox tutorials) I took the terrain part I did of the main center road from the map, and I imported it into Maya and rotated it. Then I created a custom model in brow and I used the -set gat colision 2- to make the gat cells accurate to the surface of it. [*]Last, maybe I've to mention the effects. There is a heavy sand storm present in the map if you go to the center. Also, I added some tornados to enhance the idea even better. Last, there is @fog present to match all together 3. Video *watch in HD 720p* Videos comes with a new intro btw just to match the new and revamped Olrox GFX services I have. http://youtu.be/ghE1Y4KnyDo 4. Screenshots Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.
  8. Thanks sir I appreciate your review! Thanks pr3p
  9. @everyone Thank you. I appreciate each rating and it means a lot for me. Yea I've been busy actually. And yes the effect is nice Thank you
  10. 1. Concept Hi I think I will post some work on this board. I really miss some friends like Eurydice, or jTynne <33 that were people that liked my work before. So here I'm showing this map based on a stage of "xenoblade chronicles" for the nintendo Wii. The stage is called Satorl Marsh: This is one of the references I had to do this map. This is the night version of that stage. The area is characterized by having this kind of trees that are like dead trees with those blue spark lights effects across them, that makes the area look great. As for pathways and overall style, the map follows a general idea since it is a dungeon. This map has a lot of work with the lightmaps and effects, so as small decoration (took my time to place each tree really). The trees are also custom that I make them to look in that style, since in Ragnarok we don't have these kind of trees. All together mix a stile of a desolated but beautiful place that was exactly what my customer asked me to recreate. Hope you will like this one. Comments are always appreciated, thank you in advance for taking your time to write a review. 2. Features [*]Night map with a heavy amount of light presents [*]A lot of effects to make the lights on the trees so as the mist effect that is present in some areas of the map 3. Video *watch in HD 1080p* 4. Screenshots Some screenshots. There isn't a particular order or purpose on the screens here, just some overview screenshots and maybe some others that has to do with close ups.
  11. Easiest way is to diff an hex without the "ignore missing file errors" diff and pack a data.grf without the */effect directory. Then just call the effect you want, look at the missing resources and you got your files there.
  12. Maybe someone can provide what skill is this? it could be easier to know the name of the files with that.
  13. I know exactly what you want. I've encountered with the same thing before years ago, and It took me back to those days that maps were done with notepad when we didn't have map editors Using notepad++ edit RSW (for ragnarok models) and GND files (for the ground). Take a look at all the entries that ends with ".bmp" and make a note of the directories paths (the most of cases an official map tends to use only 1 directory path) Use the find and replace tool of notepad++ by finding the directory you looked at and replace with your new name but PLEASE read: You can only change the last 3 or 2 letters of the directory you are looking for. Lets make an example if you want to change a copy of all prontera texture models at the same time: open prontera.rsw and look for "ÇÁ·ÐÅ׶ó" and replace with "ÇÁ·ÐÅ×-1" (notice I changed the last 2 letters) save everything and now your prontera.rsw will read only that directory (which now you can copy with your custom textures) If you don't follow the same way (for example you edit the first 2 letters, instead of the last 2 letters) your map will crash, so be carefull and always do a backup. Edit. By this simple method you can have multiple different pronteras with different textures in harmony as you said before. You can do the same with your maps.
  14. Although I'm not active here (due to the fact that people needs me more, in the other board), I felt that I had to express my impression of this feature. Reason why I logged here and did my time to post. This feature, is incredible. I have no words to express how impressed I'm. The interserver feature is totally awesome... You really did a good job, congratulations.
