    ready made vps server, we dont offer ready to play server. You probably know what happen to those server with ready to play setting which i guess only lasted for months 

    difference of your ready made vps that exclusive to ragnarok than ready to play server? im confused sorry

     

    ready made vps means, all software needed to run a ragnarok server are already pre-installed, basically all you need to do is setup your server and run. We could also help you setting up your server as we also offer free server setup based on the emulator you are using

    Hello,

     

    I'm new to the things that Setup VPS to run a Ragnarok Emulator since new i got no idea on how to make or run codes to setup Ragnarok Emulator, I only know to host a Ragnarok Emulator by buying Ready Made Ragnarok Hosting. 

     

    Its been a month modifying my own Emulator (Adding NPCs Script, Skill Modifications, etc.,).. Now I'm about to release my emulator to be played online, but the thing is I only know how to script, edit on my Emulator, not on setting up a VPS to run a Ragnarok Emulator. I planned to buy a Ready made Ragnarok Hosting but people said, its better to have Own VPS that I will setup to have more control than buying Ready Made Host. (I have fund to buy a VPS/Ready Made now but I'm still confused which I would get)

     

    Anyone can help me setup a VPS to run my own made Emulator? or I'll just get a ready made hosting since I don't know how to setup a VPS to run my emulator.

    better do all your stuff locally and get a vps once you're ready. Its pretty easy to run the server on a vps once its setup.

    My emulator is done, I'm afraid that I might waste it. if I bought VPS and didnt setup correctly.

    Are you offering Ready Made Hosting? or VPS? what are the features of it and cost?

    Lowering the levels in clif.c does nothing:

    Try lowering that.

     

    I did lower them and recompiled. When using the Change cart skill, the carts in the window that appears were still tied to old level requirements.

     

    So, for example, after changing (type == 2 && sd->status.base_level > 40) to (type == 2 && sd->status.base_level > 20) and using the Change cart skill with a 30 level character, only 1 cart option appeared.

     

    I am not even sure this code has anything to do with the carts that show up in the client and I probably got everyone confused. Really sorry if that is the case.

     

    same goes with me. But when I change the level of the merchant to 100 and above, new carts are shown? any idea how we can enable it on merchants below 100?

    Shared hosting often does not support connections to outgoing ports(required to check status of server), also, having vps for web server means you have full authority to customise as you want and you would be fully responsible for security related things, be sure to have tight security as well.

     

    Hello Sir just wanna ask, does DO have a anti ddos protection or I am the one responsible for that? I think its very expensive if I am not going for the shared hosting. But I prefer my own unmanage VPS.

    They dont have any ddos, and when you got ddos your service will be suspended

    You can buy a vps on DO then a shared hosting in any hosting company you want. Allow your shared hosting IP in your mysql server in vps and also allow remote access in your mysql server.

    I'm planning to get a hosting service at DO but I got this question on the back of my mind. If I applied for a VPS should I get a webhost on them too or I will use the VPS as my webhost also. My point is I don't want to much stress on my VPS. I hope someone can enlighten me.

    I suggest always separate your website and server. Its not recommended to run them on the same machine unless  you are running on a dedicated server

     

    1 more thing mates, for example I bought 1 VPS on DO and decide to make a webhost also on DO because I want DO to handle my server and my webhost. Is that possible? I'll make the other VPS to be my webhost. 

     

    Yes, you need to purchase another vps to run your website

    you don't have any basic unmanaged vps host most of it has ddos protection already.

    Unmanaged vps has nothing to do with ddos protection. We have standard node and you can choose os you want aside from Ragnarok VNC server which has pre-installed software needed for running an Athena emulator.

    some said unmanaged vps still better than Ready Ragnarok Hosting

    Unmanaged vps is the same with pre-installed ragnarok hosting, their only difference in unmanaged is you will be the one installing all those software.
