  1. Well not really, you just have to play it with the RO client, then record that and edit that part. So in the end you've already completed the initial recording. You don't actually need to walk anymore or do anything else. And no problem.
  2. The rrf file is just good for use with an RO client, so you'd have to use another program to re-record it, then you can edit it with whatever editing software you wish to use.

  6. It's rather a question of who wants it really rather than if it's script or source. And how it would work. Because with it would be the required web part where you need to pay to continue playing.
  7. Question with that though is what VIP system should be followed? Does kRO have one? If so that's the one we would have to follow, no? And following up on that, who will actually make use of this system, considering it only really applies to pay-to-play servers. These don't exist. It'd be easier to apply something of your own, as not everybody is willing to endorse such a feature.
  8. I too don't believe that we should head into that iRO branch. I don't like their customizations, the original is good. If people want to go and customize their stuff afterwards it's up to them. If anything then jRO would be the thing to branch out to, they were the only ones successful at implementing Renewal balanced and in a way that players enjoyed it.

  12. I'm no expert but I haven't seen that specific diff in quite some time anymore, I think it's become a default thing to be added. Tested the 2011-11-22 exe just now with Shin's Diff Patcher using WeeDiffGenerator v1.0.2 and it doesn't show the /showname diff, I remember it used to in older versions.

  14. Yeah, Trojal though said we don't need the commands such as 'mes' 'if' and such, so I didn't bother continuing with adding them. Only thing I see that still really needs changing is the SVN -> Git.
  15. Hmm I like the concept, setting up a system to allow the user to add more than 1 char & map server with 1 login server, located on different machines, all communicating, that would be nice. Alternatively what would also be nice would be to add support for interlinking several servers from different machines to make 1 server. Examples: 3 machines, each has 1 server, char, login, map. Example 2: 6 Machines, each running 1 map, 1 char, 1 login server. All using the same db, and none of them allowing to the logging in of the same account twice. This would be an example to attempt to reduce lag.

  17. Has nothing to do with hercules, that's a general issue of how the client works with reading the file. I have the same issues when I open .txt files that I've created or edited via TextPad, and when I open them via NotePad. Best is to just download Notepad ++ and open the files via that, should resolve the issue, and if it doesn't you can just modify it yourself by copying the square box and replacing it with rn which means new line.

  19. I was just bringing the earthbound guy up as an example, not saying you couldn't or shouldn't do or use it. Although it would seem somewhat biased if you were to open this and have a server and then have the server listed there as well. Not that you shouldn't be able to have it posted there, but it just would seem as if you would eventually obviously be favoring your own server.
  20. Sorry, not sure what to think of this. I don't like the idea of splitting community or users from RMS to your new thing. I'd rather see the existing be improved or something totally different but not something like it. Reminds me of the RateMyRO.net advertiser or w/e his name was, who turned out to be the owner of EarthBoundRO.
  21. I'd support the plugin part even if it might be a rather tedious thing, that way it might as well be easier to update. Even if we do use git. Also support the svn equivalent for the master branch. I finally figured out how to use git but heck it's still confusing and I'm PC literate, so to give better support for future members I'd say add svn, doesn't have to be synced every 5 seconds but maybe every day or 3 times a week. I'm not sure about the paid services thing, but I suppose I'd like to still see it up. As to if staff can be on servers or owners of servers I'd say it's up to them, although if they drop their role here then kick them out. We sure don't need Zeph imitators. I'd also like to not see Maki imitators of draggin 1/2 the staff into some personal project, not that in this case was actually a waste of time, but it just made little sense when they had other things they could've been doing.
