  1. Hi there Hercules!

     

    Currently I would like to suggest for quest specific atcommands to be added in.

     

    Example of the quest commands adding in.

     

     

    Addquest <quest ID> <state>delquest <quest ID>

     

    Reasons of why we should have this would be easier of debugging of current scripts that we have for quests issues.


    Example we have Theodore's request quest. where step 14 could be the issue where in the script it's quest ID 3023,

    (note that this is a random quest with random steps, not as of official behaviour)

     

    therefore, we would then have to add in another NPC specifically just to provide the quest ID which is definitely gonna take time. on that end where if we have the addquest atcommand added in, it could be solve within minutes.

     

    Similar to the set atcommand but right now more or less adding in setquest command.

     

    If you find that this suggestion is not of use, please disregard this suggestion.

  2. Hi there everyone,

     

    Currently I'm having issues placing automated backups in CentOS 6,

     

    I'm not a user of linux mainly, therefore I understand it's a bit hard to implement this for a non-linux user, nevertheless I'm willing to learn though!

     

    From what I managed to dig up, it's more or less setting up a script that does the SQL backups on your selected directory,

     

    Then after that using cronjob to run the script and you get an automated backup.

     

    Problem now is... getting a script that works, I'm not sure how, but does anyone have any script they're using that I could setup a cron job with?

     

    It would be good if someone could navigate me through cronjob as well,

  3. You could change 50 to 70 in this line:

    The problem with this, however, is that it (more likely than not) will cause the script to require that you Rebirth with 50 Job Levels, where (in common cases), 50 is the maximum Job Level for Second and Advanced classes. You'd probably be better off modifying the script to take a third value from the .Rebirth array and adding a check for that value.

     

    Example modifications:

     

    setarray .Rebirth[0],99,50;    // Minimum base level, job level to rebirth OR change to third class

     

    setarray .Rebirth[0],99,50,70;    // Minimum base level, job level to rebirth OR change to third class

    Sorry for the extremely late reply though, I totally forgotten this for awhile back.

     

    The problem now with changing the lines on the 2nd part.

     

    Upon changing the lines, becoming a lord knight is still able to change at 50 job level, but this time it reverts back to High novice instead.

     

    Not sure how to go about this though ._.

    Hello! Currently for trans job it's possible to change job at 50. can i set it back to 99/70 before they can become 3rd job?

  5. Just comment the undesired entries or add whatever you want on db/pre-re or re/item_group.conf.

     

    Some items that give a random item are here, others are in item_chain.conf and other are in item_packages.conf

     

    For more info, please refer to the announcement topic or the proper documentation in each case.

     

    All examples here are based on the pre-re db folder.

    Thank you for the reply, I did some tries and forgotten to reply actually, my apologies on that,

     

    however my case tends to be a little bit different though, i set a new item actually. 30002 in item_db2, but OBB tends to provide that item though.

     

    i'm trying to take that out if possible

    just wanna check with,

     

    upon reaching the 6th floor of thanatos, entering the portal in the middle after gaining all the keys, shouldn't it be opened for 10-20 seconsd for other people to enter?

     

    right now it's only 1 person can etner which is the key holder ._.

     

    not sure if renewal changed anything though lol

    Is there any way i could exclude items from Old blue box and other items that provide random items?

     

    as i've set quest items specifically from NPCs and so far using OBB is able to receive that quest item which they're not suppose to lol

    I would like to request whether if anyone has any anti-afk script for homunculus AFK farming?

    If possible I'd like to set for specific maps where people who AFK will be questioned (specifically for alchemist/creator & genetic class only) and if they fail to answer within 1 minute, they'll be auto jailed / kicked.

    Firstly, I'd just like to highlight that my current client is on 2012-04-10 RagexeRE.

     

    So right now, i'm actually having some questions at the moment. Hopefully someone can answer me though! I'm really eager to solve this if it's possible.


    Let's start off with Picture A

     

    Question 1:
    If you look at Picture A, there's a dropdown menu onto placing the quest Plus, showing how many quests are there for the required quest. Can this be done? I definitely believe it's somewhere to edit in the data folder but I have absolutely no idea where. However if it can't be done I  don't mind. The dropdown menu is really looking awesome :o

     

    Let's move on to Picture B now

     

    Question 2:

    For picture B, would it be possible to insert the sprite to insert into To & From? Example shown as above. Upon clicking the NPC, you'll be guided as to where you're required to go through the navigation system. However if the navigation is optional though, Since some of my NPC is located in custom quests, so it might be hard to make it work.

     

    Question 3:

    Looking at picture B again, you can see that you can write down stuffs at the To part. How can i insert text there? Is it possible? So far quest_id2display.txt only provides the top part only and the title.

     

    Question 4:

    Following up with question 3, is it possible to place in items in? Upon clicking the item. The description appears. That's truly amazing though and really a good finishing touch for anyone that write quests.

     

    Question 5:

    Is it possible to change the background of the quest window? If possible which image should i add and where?

    I'm facing an issue here, as this is euphy's all-in-one NPC, therefore I'd like to ask would it be possible to add a message stating,

     

    Are you sure you want continue?

     

    This message will only occur upon somone chooses 3rd job without rebirth. If they're rebirth, it'll skip this dialouge. This is to prevent people accidentally choosing the 3rd job instead of rebirth.

     

    Here's the entire script. (Note that I took out some features cause I already have some of them in my own server)

    i'm not sure what problems it might caused on the back-end part, but definitely this is much more useful to all server owners in restricting. Aside from the back-end source code part, I can't see how this can be a bad choice lol.

    I'm having an issue with the quest db showing at the client at the moment.

     

    I'm currently using 2012-04-10 RagexeRE for info.

     

    my quest db is set with 3 values.

    However my client is only picking up the third value upon killing the monster when it shows up a name on top. It will not show the 1st or 2nd value upon killing the monster.

     

    But it does add up though, so I believe quest_db shouldn't have any issues. Only the client side perhaps?

    Hi there,

     

    based on the above script, i'm able to become a super novice with base level 1 and job lvl 10.

     

    Is it possible to change it to 45 back to the official one? I'm having a hardtime intepreting this script out so i can't really do it myself lol

    git commit -am "message"

     

    if that doesn't work and since you said you didn't change anything with that file you can also try...

     

    git checkout 3rd party/libconfig/libconfig.c (fetches an unchanged copy from hercules repo)

    or

    git add 3rd party/libconfig/libconfig.c (adds the file to the track and makes it safe to merge?)

     

    I'm no git expert, so I could be wrong.

     

     

    Used his method of git add 3rdparty/libconfig/libconfig.c and then git pull

    then it works immediately! Thanks again!

    Hi there, i'm currently facing issue on git pull.

     

    I've never changed the 3rd party/libconfig/libconfig.c before. So i'm not sure what to expect here.

     

    What can do i to upadte the files?


  16. Hi there guys,

     

    I'm not sure what's happening with my Flux currently.

     

    I can't register on the flux as it prompts an error of Unable to Open Socket upon finishing the registration.

     

    may i know what is currently causing this? I've rebooted my server and it seems to be there still.

     

    It din't happened before so i'm not sure what actually caused this.


    I would really REALLY appreciate the help here cause I tried reformating my VPS OS and it worked! however it occured again which I wouldn't want to reformat again.
