Does HostGator support File services for Patching?

Topic explains it all. I keep trying to setup my NEONCUBE patcher for my webhost so I can patch my game. But it keeps saying Failed to get patchlist when the patchlist is in the right directory, I labeled everything perfectly in the neoncube.ini

I haven't tried Thor yet, but if Neoncube fails to get a patchlist, I bet Thor would too.

I heard some webhosts have disabled file services probably because of Piracy issues. So question is, have they disabled file services or is it just something messed up with my host?

Have you spoken to your provider (Hostgator) regarding the issue? I had Hostgator one time before and my patcher worked. Not sure if they've changed the settings recently though... so it'd be best for you to submit a ticket to them.

Well I use their services and I can patch without a problem. Never had to contact them about it too.

LOL. Didn't even notice this was 2 months ago. But yeah, works fine for me

I got it fixed. Just curious anyone know anything better than hostgator?

I'm not quite sure. But back in university people were telling me to transfer to digitalocean. I haven't really tried myself though.
