  1. All versions of Start Island and Criatura Academy (iz_ac01, int_land, iz_int)

    Since RO starting point in renewal changed several times, and finding those files are getting increasingly hard, I decided to group them all and release here.
     
    This only includes the original map files, no changes, no NPCs adjustments.
     
    When downloading, you will find 6 options, pick the ones that you need.
     
    Hercules is currently (as of v2024.08) using 2012 Academy and 2015 Start Point (or 2018 with wrong map cache?).
     
    Files:
    - academy_2012 -- Criatura Academy 2012 version. Corridors in both floors, everything linked together
    - academy_2015 -- Criatura Academy 2015 version. 2nd floor changed to have rooms separate from the corridor ("making it smaller")
    - academy_2017 -- Criatura Academy 2017 version. 1st floor changed to a big open area
    - start_2012 -- iz_int is a boat for players to leave to izlude (NPCs not included)
    - start_2015 -- iz_int is a sunken ship; int_land is a island linking the sunken ship to the new one. Players can walk over the ship.
    - start_2018 -- the ship at int_land is no longer walkable
     
    Usage:
    - Download the ones that you need,
    - extract it somewhere
    - copy the content of the data folder to your data folder or GRF
    - you may need to regenerate your map cache and adjust the NPCs if the map is not the one for your Hercules version

  2. Clock Tower Nightmare Mode Expansion

    Do you wish the nightmare version of Clock Tower was more than just an identical version of the original map? More than just darkened elder or clock tower manager sprites?
     
    Well if you so desire, you can now apply a fresh coat of paint to the Nightmare Clock Tower maps and sprites, or expand it to include the entire clock tower!
     
    The download includes the following:
    - Clock Tower Maps (1@ctf1, 1@ctf2, 1@ctf3, 1@ctf4)
    - Clock Tower Dungeon Maps (1@ctb1, 1@ctb2, 1@ctb3, 1@ctb4)
    - Minimaps (Taken from the original maps)
    - New Sprites for Clock Tower Nightmare Mobs (Mimic, Rideword, Drainliar, Arclouse, Brilight, Penomena, Bathory, Joker)
    - Retouched versions of the less-than-stellar official sprites (Big Ben, Big Bell, Time Keeper, Arc Elder)
    - Untouched versions of the official sprites in case your GRF happens to not have them (Owl Marquis, Owl Viscount, Timeholder)

  5. File Pack #8 : Revised Airship

    I made a new airship with custom walls and textures along with many other things made by me
    It features a few retextured models from the Hospital map that fit a more civilized setting

  6. Optimized ecl_fild01

    The map "ecl_fild01" is very different from most RO maps, because it is swarmed with plant models that cause massive lag and in some cases it can even crash the game. This map edit lowers the amount of models clustered together to eliminate this issue.

    A seemingly jRO-only map, with its models, textures, and Effect Tool file. Only usable by clients that can read .rsm2 models, which is why I cannot show actual ingame screenshots of it! If someone else can upload a version of the map and models that all clients can read, that would probably be more helpful than this.

  8. Veins Field 06 Expansion (ve_fild06)

    Ever noticed that in pre-renewal servers, the map north of Veins (ve_fild06) has an annoying random warp leading to one of two other fields? On top of that, the end of the road is so narrow that a workaround by adding two separate warps makes it looks kind of awkward.
     
    Well, this is an attempt to fix the issue, by expanding how far you can walk on the area, so you can actually reach the fork in the road. With this map, you just have to remove the current official warp and add two warps leading to the corresponding fields. Additionally, a few models are placed on the new area so it doesn't look barren, and the map lights and shadows have been redone to remove the blocky shadows.

  9. Renewed Amatsu

    Amatsu and Amatsu Field maps, with their old cherry trees replaced with newer official ones from the modern/renewal Prontera. The field also had a few extra trees added to the left of the pond. The GAT (walkable cells) should be the same as their original versions.

  10. Moscovian Prontera

    Simple Prontera Map with only the floor textures swapped for those from Moscovia and its Fields. The GAT (walkable cell) are unchanged from the original version. Enjoy!

  12. Dark Sunken Ship

    Edited version of the official maps "treasure_n1" and "treasure_n2" so that they're different from the regular sunken ship maps and not just copy pastes. They're relatively simple edits: A darker map (no lights), plus hovering particle effects.

    Hi i have been working on many ragnarok stuff lately and am going to release what ive completed,
     
    its theme is north american horror, although the mapping is 100% complete for 7/8 maps the warps, and gat are not
     
     
    Tons of models that wont break your game but feel free to ask if you have an issue with gravity errors
     
     
     
    Also included a bunch of monsters I made and edited
     
     
     
    Some textures here are real life images , so please dont zoom in on weird things and do weird stuff , not much of it is in here but dont be annoying

  14. Dark Malangdo

    Malangdo Town map, with Comodo Town's lighting scheme and some special effects the original map did not have. I'm unsure what to name it, so "Dark Malangdo" it is. This is an official map taken from a June or July kRO Zero update and Includes only the GAT, RSW and GND files, inside a zip folder.

  15. Mac Anu

    I made this map, all the models and restored all the textures, based off the city of Mac Anu from the .dot//hack infection series.
     
    I did edit gravity textures.
     
     
     
    No real thanks to give out maybe besides browedit and its development team and gravity for textures.
     
     
     
     
    I use alot of client features,  I didnt include the water I used cause you guys probably wont use it.
     
     
     
     
    So the main difference here is your gonna have to add a file to your effect tool lub you can pm me how or post
     
     
     
     
    This is a PLAYABLE BETA
    GRF is unlocked and no weird stuff.
    Your free to do as you please. Adding more effects to effecttool is just a matter of adding a new emmiter and a new number, you can test it by spawning a bunch and seeing how many are blank.

  16. Semi Transparent Glass Set

    Figured out how to get these alpha channels w/ tga files to work.... dont ask me how if you dont know how to use photoshop 
     
    You can easily change the color just by picking any texture and changing the hue/saturation and re saving it

  17. Town of Beginnings from SwordArtOnline

    Town of Beginnings from SAO

    I'm releasing this map that I made a while ago for a SAO-RAG project that has been put on hold, and i felt like it's too good of a map to put it on a shelf ;]

    Hope you guys enjoy the release. ;] Some files inside include the color changes on some texture files, so keep that in mind, and delete them if you want.

    ARENA Four Fight! (4fight) - PVP MAP

    (It's been some time since I started to make this map, but I did not have time to finish it ... It's a basic room, I intend to complement it in other versions in the future!)

  25. Truly Map Collection

    Hey there everyone, long time no see!
     
      So it's been a very long time since I have been on these boards and I do miss it all. Feeling a little nostalgia looking through these all, I decided to release them all to the public, completely free. Going in no particular order after the first few, they are just my favorites. I hope you guys love them as I have.
     
     
    Sanctum
    Main town oriented map. My absolute favorite and latest work (When I was mapping). The idea I had for this was a chuck of a mountain broke off and landed here, subsequently creating a waterfall from atop and surrounding the town. Giving it protection and a perfect center for life. I never got around to finishing the outside of the map, I don't even know what I thought for the surroundings, perhaps just trees.

     
    Sanctum In
    And here is the inside map for Sanctum. The first picture is the general area where various NPC's can be placed. The second picture is where I planned to use an script to automatically place anyone who wished to vend in the one walkable/edited Gat. It would cycle through and remove those vending for a prolonged period of time and also anyone not vending at all.
     
    Guild Base
    This map was designed for the top guilds or just those who hold castles to have a domain of their own. The first picture is just a hangout spot for anyone in the guild. The second picture is for any combat/training/monster summoning to be done. The third picture is for the guild master where special NPC's can be placed as the server owners desire.

    A little small for a PvP map but I enjoyed making it and like how it turned out.

     
    Trinity
    The first main town I made some time back around 2010. Don't judge me on some of the rookie mistakes I made with lighting and such haha. The following Trinity ___ maps are connected via a warp on the edges of the map.

    Before the Sanctum maps, this was my favorite creation. I just liked the feel of this one.

    Similar to the Sanctum In vending idea, I wanted to limit vending to only those tiles with the colored objects on it.

    A simple instance based map with a boss at the end. Another one of my earlier works.

     
    Works
    The beginnings of my templates map. I would urge any current mapper to use this technique to create unique model compilations and copy it over to the map in progress. I have used this to create a forest that looks completely customized in a matter of minutes.
     
     
      Well there they are, open to any and all. I hope to hear your feedback on these!
