Amazon EC2 Windows Server 2012 Help

Question

UPDATE: I was finally able to mount a Hercules server on Amazon EC2. Up and running. Playing as we speak. Will make a detailed guide. Moderators: Please close topic :)

Hi, my name’s Yushell, I’m 25 years old, and I’m a Web Developer in a
Mexican digital agency. I specialize in .NET Development. I’ve been a fan of
Ragnarok Online since I was 15 years old. Occasionally setting up a private
server, at first using Aegis, then eAthena. And now I’d like to set up a
renewal server using Hercules.

My goal is to set it up on an Amazon EC2 instance I have with Windows
Server 2012. And I’ve followed every guide there is, line by line, but I haven’t
been able to connect from the outside. I’ve opened up ports, made inbound rules
for TCP and UDP, and I’ve even created rules for each port in Amazon’s Console,
under Security Groups. But it’s been two weeks of trying and still can’t
connect.

That’s why I decided to open this thread. Asking for help from anyone
who’s willing to lend a hand.

I configured Hercules on the server, MySQL included. Installed the full
installer and Small Client Package mentioned my Judas in http://herc.ws/b...client-package/

I extracted Hercules.grf, changed the IP in clientinfo.xml to the public
IP of my instance, but still no connection.

Note: I’d like to contribute to Hercules in any way I can. And if I’m
able to mount the server on my Amazon EC2 instance, I’ll make a guide for
anyone that’d like to do the same.

Double checked IP. You can ping IP and port 6900. Opened and listening. But still no connection.

At last. I've got the Hercules server up and running. Able to connect and play no!

Will make a guide for anyone who would like to set up a Hercules server on Amazon EC2.

@unknown:

Did you create a Windows Server instance in EC2? If so, all you need to do is log in with Remote Desktop to your Windows Server, open browser, download MySQL, configure and install.

I don't have one of these myself, but given you have access to a MySQL database and a web server from your EC2... it should be much like installing it in common servers.

P.S.: Please, try to make separate questions from the main topic on a new one.
