Problem with adding new maps?

Question

Okay so I used the grf-files.txt and added in my custom maps from my RO.grf

And I also edited the map-server.conf to use_grf: yes

Now I ran the mapcache.exe and everything seemed to work fine but I couldn't tell if it added my custom map.

When I login and warp to my custom map, it doesn't show up with a crash error or anything, it just loads to 100% and stays there. What seems to be the problem?

I haven't been apart of RO emulation for a long time, and this is bothering me because this is so easy, yet so hard... I feel like a complete noob again.

-_-

^ Delete or made a backup copy of the existing db/(pre-re|re)/map_cache.dat then run your map_cache.exe and it should be fine :)

Server Side

first add it  map_index.txt , which is located in the 'db' folder

second  add it   maps.conf in the 'conf' folder

3rd , add it to the mapcache via WeeMapCache and upload the new mapcache to your PRE-RE or RE folder depends on your server settings

Client Side

add your map into the  mapnametable.txt (this file is located in the datafolder/ custom grf

add your map files into the data folder  / or in your GRF.

Alright I forgot to do the mapnametable.txt. And what's the difference between pre renewal and renewal? what do people prefer?

I haven't been apart of RO for ages.
