How do I update/merge my Hercules?

Though there are plenty of guides on how to install Hercules, I couldn't find any extensive ones for how to update it. My current version is almost 5 months old, and I want to apply all the changes that have been made, but I have no idea how to proceed.

if you have custom src mods, I suggest you to use winmerge to see what changed and apply the changes file per file

Is there no way to do it other than being a chimpanzee and applying it manually?

Also if you update your hercules, it will cause many conflicts, which will then become a more headache(if theres more edits, more conflicts)

 

(Thats why, i prefer to convert each src mod to plugin, to keep src clean)

no since there is no AI that can differ between your changes and hercules changes xD

Alright then. My Hercules version is Revision 13042 from 2013-11-06. How do I sort which changes have been made from after that date?

You can use TortoiseSVN for updating your server. Actually I have Guide for Updating Hercules in Filipino Community In Local/Taglish Language

 

after checking out.. add manually your modifications. I think you need to hire an experienced dev. to do that or convert your mods to plugins . It may takes time if you have too many modifications.
