If the group "Users" has at least read access to the archive (File Properties -> Security Tab), it should be enough to access it. The client might have more permissions, because it is generally elevated.
Damned NT with it's "security".

My fRO GRF works fine. When it says, that it's not supported, then the signature "Master of Magic" was not found. Does your fRO GRF actually work?

GRF Diet Plan
About
This tool is a feature test of RO Patcher Lite's GRF library. It reduces GRF archive size by eliminating duplicated data, with non-shared palettes giving the best ratios. No client modifications are needed. See readme.txt for more details.
Known Issues
Using the "use best compression" option (off by default) might cause the client being unable to read certain files or degrade performance.

Updated to 2.11.0, improves Lua settings saving and adds an option to save in data rather than savedata as some older clients expect the settings there.

No idea about Loki Launcher, but there is a bug in the newer clients, that causes it get "idle" priority when shutting down under certain conditions, which prolongs the time the client spends quiting. If you set the "process priority" for the client process back to normal and it quits within 3-5 minutes, then that's it; otherwise it could be an another problem.
-
Note that the clients occasionally are not protected. The RGZ archive with an unprotected client is about 1 MB smaller than the rest.

Release 1.0.3.0
Fixed an issue, that prevented effects from working on VC10 clients.

The log looks fine, the code path does not seem too different from older clients.
Currently I'm not able to test for myself, though.
Edit:
Reproduced, investigating.

Just noticed, that that client has shorter LEA byte-code, so the tail check failed. Fixed.

Thanks, fixed. Yes, I was too lazy to do an automated solution for a one-time thing.

RagEffect Client Plug-In
About
A client plug-in that replaces client's special effect table (.str) with data from an external database. This release is per request from Ragno on the rAthena boards with the permission to release it publicly.
Known issues
Currently the file is not loaded from GRF, but from data folder only. The range of clients might be limited, tested with 2012-07-02aRE and 2013-12-23c. For further possible issues see the Simple DLL Loader for RO Clients topic.

If you can see your own, but others can not, isn't that a server-side issue then?Hi!
The Extended Chat Box diff is broken. It works in gould, party chat but in public chat not.
You can write long texts and see your own long texts, but others don't see it.
Is there any hope that this will be fixed?
evilpuncker reacted to this -
You will generally need only "Kro". If you need test server (sakray) content, which is just some weeks ahead of main server, you will also need "Kro RE".
This depends on the server you play, though.

The Lua portion of this guide is plain wrong.
NEVER write-protect stuff in the savedata folder, unless you do not want the client to change your settings.
If you have errors about the setting variables OptionInfoList and CmdOnOffList, check if you have the Lua setting defaults in "<your RO folder>System" or "<your RO folder>SystemLuaFiles514", for older (Lua 5.0.2) or newer (Lua 5.1.4) clients respectively. If you do not, you may to obtain the original files, or compile yourself at least a OptionInfo.lub from OP's OptionInfo.lua.
Healthy kRO savedata and system folders:
RO/savedata/OptionInfo.lua /* client/setup settings go here */RO/System/itemInfo.lubRO/System/itemInfo_Sak.lubRO/System/monster_size_effect.lubRO/System/monster_size_effect_sak.luaRO/System/monster_size_effect_sak.lubRO/System/MsgString.lubRO/System/OptionInfo.lub /* defaults for Lua 5.0.2 clients */RO/System/ShadowTable.lubRO/System/Towninfo.lubRO/System/Font/NHCgogo_10.eotRO/System/Font/NHCgogo_12.eotRO/System/Font/RixDiary_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixFreshman_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixJJangu_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixKid_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixLoveangel_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixLoveangel_12.eotRO/System/Font/RixMagic_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixMiniHeart_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixNHCgogo_10.eotRO/System/Font/RixSquirrel_12.eotRO/System/Font/RixSquirrel_10.eotRO/System/LuaFiles514/MsgString.lubRO/System/LuaFiles514/OptionInfo.lub /* defaults for Lua 5.1.4 clients */

For comparing GRF, a GUI would only be a front-end for rsudiff. For comparing folders/files it would have to be from scratch.
