    Hello Herc community,
     Not long ago, I started to create paid skills, so I decided to create a Christmas-themed skill:

    Happy Christmas!! [ALL_XMAS]
    Max Lv: 2
    Type: No damage/Target
    SP/Cast/Delay: 0

    Description:

    Change clothes to xmas attire, if the target is in xmas attire, target will return to normal clothes. If you use the skill on Lv 2, "We Wish Song" will reproduce.

    [Preview]:

    Manual of Installation & configuration are adjunted to .zip.

    Regards~

    The animated fire is a relatively new NPC sprite.
    I've had a little sprite problem. I will add all the instructions on how to add this sprite if you don't have it
    (Basically instructions how to add a custom NPC, server side & client side)

    Note that it says in the chat,
    You are feeling warm and cozy.

    Hi guys,

    If you have problem with 2014 Clients lua files.
    Then this is the one which do not give Errors.

    Let me know any issues if you face using them.

    There are lub files which I am using from latest 2014-10 iRO Client

    Somehow the old files where too outdated so I decided to use them and they worked like a charm.

    Made Possible Thanks to Yommy
    We're only able to provide you with this patch thanks to Yommy, Thank you very much!
    Roulette
    During test period it will be disabled by default, to enable you must edit conf/battle/feature.conf // Roulette (Note 1)// Requires: 2014-10-22bRagexe or later// Off by default while test version is out; enable at your own risk -- the mean dev.feature.roulette: off Roulette rewards can be defined in db/roulette_db.conf As we understand the coins are points that you obtain by consuming an item, while such an item is not yet available (will be in a upcoming commit), you can set these values with @set command, they're TmpRouletteBronze,TmpRouletteSilver and TmpRouletteGold -- e.g. @set TmpRouletteBronze 5 Requires PACKETVER 20141022 or higher. Where you can get such client? Here (Again, Thanks to Yommy!) In action: http://herc.ws/board/damocles/ind/screenHercules136.jpg
      Per-Character Gender
    Sex is now a character table field, which can be defined as 'M', 'F' or 'U'. 'U' being the default value, meaning undefined, which means the accounts gender takes precedence (upcoming) a script command to change a characters gender Requires PACKETVER 20141022 or higher. After you download the full installer run the rsu-* patchers as admin.
    rsu-kro-rag-lite.exe rsu-kro-renewal-lite.exe

    DIFF

    Take 2014-03-05bRagexe.exe and open it in Nemo.
    Click "Select Recommended" at the bottom Custom Window Title Read Data Folder First Skip License Screen Use Ragnarok Icon

    Take a look at all the options and enable at your own risk.

    MERGE

    Take the Ragnarok Online ClientSide Translation's data folder, and merge + overwrite the v4 Basic Complete Renewal Data English's data folder. After you combine the two data folders copy the System and AI folders over.

    Why do I have to merge two different data folders?

    clientinfo.xml

    Create a clientinfo.xml file:

    <?xml version="1.0"encoding="euc-kr" ?><clientinfo><servicetype>korea</servicetype><servertype>primary</servertype><connection><display>RO</display> <balloon>RO</balloon> <desc>RO</desc> <address>127.0.0.1</address> <port>6900</port> <version>45</version> <langtype>0</langtype> <registrationweb></registrationweb> <aid> <admin></admin> <yellow></yellow></aid> </connection></clientinfo>
    Place the clientinfo.xml file in your data folder.

    GRF

    Open GRF Builder. Click New. Enter a .grf filename. Click Merge dir. Select your data folder. After your .grf is created add the filename to your DATA.INI.

    DATA.INI

    Create a DATA.INI file:
    [Data]1={translations + clientinfo.xml}.grf2=rdata.grf3=data.grf
    SETUP

    Don't forget to add opensetup to your RO folder. Also make sure you copied over the System and AI folders from the v4 Basic Complete Renewal Data download.

    DONE

    Run your patched exe and enjoy! Try re-opening the file if it gives you an error the first time you execute it.

    I'm sorry there are no images.

    Having trouble?

    Try downloading the ready made 2013-08-07aRagexe Full Client.rar from (https://www.mediafire.com/folder/hg3wqu9a1cc7w/ready%20made)

    Scripting Tutorials and Guides
    I'm going to attempt to help everyone here with their scripts while not being directly involved in helping you with them xD.
    This will also help future/current scripters get some fresh info and maybe inspire innovative ideas towards scripting.
    So that we can prove that us " Scripters " are the superior ragnarok emulation race! Take that Source Code writers!! Jk lol, we need you too .

    What I'm going to do, is write detailed tutorials on how to write a few scripts. Starting from the basics to more advanced scripts.
    This way everyone can follow along. And hopefully this will help everyone understand how to write a few scripts and even troubleshoot their own scripts.

    Also please read: Scripting Standards.
    It will help you understand how to read some of the syntax and way people script things.
    // A list of <sprite id>s can be found here: Sprite_IDs Credits: Ai4rei
    Scripting Tutorials & Guides
    In this section you will learn how to write scripts ranging from Complete Begginer Level Scripts ( Me and Some of you ) -> Expert Level Scripts ( Think, Developer Status O.o; )
    - Beginner Scripts -
    Scripts for complete beginners and novice scripters.

    - Intermediate Scripts -
    Scripts for intermediate level scripters. If you completed my beginner script series, then you are ready for this section.

    - Advanced Scripts -
    Scripts for advanced level scripters. If you completed my intermediate script series and have made a few of your own intermediate scripts, then you are ready for this section.

    The idea behind this topic, is for new users, and current ones, to have a (second)place they can go to for reference when trying to write a script if they can't figure it out with script_commands.txt file. It will also help people learn how to write scripts. While hopefully, keeping script writing techniques to a ' very ' similar structure!

    *Read Me* - I have updated the links on this post to link to the oldboard so these guides can be viewed. However, do note that the script_commands.txt links within those guides are no longer accurate. Enjoy your scripting.

    nana reacted to Zephyr in checkquest / questprogress
    That's fine if I can check if the quest is with the player, even if it's inactive. I thought that checkprogress would return false if the quest were inactive. But I still prefer the way it is, for example, if the user inactive the quest by mistake (it happens a lot, since it's just to right-click), my NPC checks if the quest is inactive and alert the player:

    for( set @i, 50009; @i <= 50036; set @i, @i + 1 )  if(checkquest(@i) == 0) {    mes "Oh! You returned alive,";    mes "I thought you were died";    mes "for that stupid monsters,";    mes "I was almost sending reinforcements";    mes "to you.";    next;    mes .@n$;    mes "Please, your mission seems like";    mes "to be inactive at the moment,";    mes "open your quest menu (alt+u),";    mes "click on the 2nd tab and active";    mes "it again. Back to work soldier!";    close;  } I think this is cleaner, beaultiful, alerts the player, and you can make the player feels good. lol

    Because you setup one kind of array in NPC variables, but use a scope array, which you didn't set.
    setarray .Scheds[0],0,16,50,0,0,0; You see, array is set as .Scheds;
    announce "inicio Dia "+.@Scheds[0]+" hora " +.@Scheds[1]+" min " +.@Scheds[2],bc_all|bc_woe; But here you use .@Scheds;
    You can either set .@Scheds in the setarray, or use .Scheds in the announce to fix that.

    setarray .@Scheds[0],0,16,50,0,0,0; announce "inicio Dia "+.@Scheds[0]+" hora " +.@Scheds[1]+" min " +.@Scheds[2],bc_all|bc_woe; OR

    I see in your other post you already download ossi's client 2013-12-23.
    That is a good start to get any 2014 client (i use that too, and update it to 2014-02-05).

    This is the way how to get it :
    1. you have to update your client data by running rsu-kro-rag-lite.exe (already included in ossi's client)
      after patch process complete, just close the patcher (do not choose start)
    2. download 2014-02-05 ragexe from : http://k3dt.eu/Ragexe/unpacked/
    3. patch that 2014-02-05 client with NEMO Patcher : http://herc.ws/board/topic/2905-nemo-client-patcher/
    4. put the patched ragexe in your Ragnarok client directory.
    5. you got 2014-02-05 client. use the patched ragexe to start your client.

    ¡Buenas! A todo el mundo, aclaro que este usuario me preguntó lo mismo por mensaje privado, al cual contesté y le pedí amablemente que lo publicara porque así podríamos enriquecernos todos de la experiencia común. Su mensaje privado contenía algún dato más como el servidor que administraba, por lo que puede que parezca que este mensaje no responda del todo a la pregunta del tema cuando en efecto respondo su mensaje privado. Adjunto mi respuesta íntegra (salvo la postdata en que le pido que lo publique aquí) de tal forma que él mismo lo puede comprobar si quiere.

    Aprovecho para reiterar dos cosas que ya se dicen en el propio mensaje:
    -> Primero: que administrar servidores no es ninguna ciencia exacta. Supongo que todos sabremos de memoria el dicho: cada maestrillo tiene su librillo;
    -> Y segundo: que es una opinión personal acerca de cómo se debería manejar un servidor. Supongo que siempre habrá otras formas de manejar un servidor, las cuales respeto siempre que entre sus prácticas no se encuentren enviar a usuarios a hacer SPAM a otros servidores y premiarles por ello, atacar a otros servidores cuando empiezan a ser un problema para ellos (que por desgracia los hay) o hacer uso de otras prácticas dudosas. Respecto a los ataques DoS, recuerdo que en España (no sé en otros países) hacer ataques DoS o acceder de forma no autorizada a sistemas informáticos está penado entre seis meses y dos años de cárcel.

    Sin más, aquí va mi mensaje:

     Espero que esta respuesta haya podido ayudar a más personas aparte de al usuario darknis.

    nana reacted to jTynne in All Top / Mid / Lower Headgears as Costumes (v1.0)
    This release is for Hercules, and is essentially a "work in progress", however, I wanted to give this to Hercules to inspire users to not only make use of this, but to complete it, make it better, and find use for it.

    What's Included?

    This release has the display name table, resname table, description table, and SQL inserts for all current headgears listed in the Hercules database for headgears that equip to either the "top" "mid" or "low" slots. I've NOT included headgears that equip to multiple locations in this release simply because it's 2am and I'm tired at the time I'm releasing this.

    What you need to do in order to get this to work on YOUR server.

    1. Import the SQL inserts via phpMyAdmin or an equivalent. If you don't know how to do that, ask here and hopefully someone will answer your question if I'm not around to answer it. Then, go in-game and @reloaditemdb.
    2. Copy/paste each of the resname/displayname/desctable entries into YOUR clientside files with those same names. Open your game client and voila.

    Notes:
    1. A LOT of these are blank sprited. Why? Because I didn't think to import the resname table I had from kRO when I made these for v1.0. I'll redo that later when I feel like it. (Or, you can if you're not lazy!)
    2. You'll see a LOT of "repeated" headgears; I simply pulled the data from the SQL database to generate these files. You can add/delete items at your discretion.
    3. This uses ID's 30,000 to roughly 31,000. If you have items in that range, well I guess you're SOL. #sorrynotsorry
    4. This is for clients prior to the nifty LUA crap that includes all the client-side data into one file. If you want to convert these to be used for that, feel free, but I won't be doing it myself until I update my own client that I use to a 2013 client. If you want this to happen sooner than later, pressure Sirius_White into getting 2013 clients working with Harmony. #deadsrs

    The intention of this release is as stated before, to inspire individuals to CREATE and expand upon this system. I've not included an NPC to distribute these headgears. If you want to do that, feel free.
    Here's basic code to sell every headgear for 50 Cash Points; You'll need to place them on a map of your choice, however:
