    What is Midgard Community?

    - Midgard Community is a Ragnarok Online community that provides various information regarding the world of Ragnarok. We have a Ragnarok Server Listing service that provides space for server owners to list their Ragnarok Online Private Server with us. We provide a download system to the Ragnarok Community which houses multiple files that range from NPC sprites, Class Sprites, Palettes, Maps, Items, Monsters, Cutins/Illustrations, Models, etc. !

Does Midgard Community have a Database?

    - Midgard Community provides both a Renewal and Pre-Renewal database for our community. Unfortunately, the database is not integrated with the main site. In both databases, you'll find information regarding various Ragnarok items, monsters, and maps. We also have various calculators and informational tables.

What is Midgard Community's Download system?

    - The download system found in Midgard Community's forum houses tons of files that range from NPC sprites, Class Sprites, Palettes, Maps, Items, Monsters, Cutins/Illustrations, Models, etc. In order to get any files from the system, you must be an active member in the forum. The plan for the download system is to be the #1 stop to get files for a server owner's Ragnarok Server.

    API (Application Programming Interface)

    - As suggested by a member of the community, I've worked diligently with a fellow friend on implementing an API for Midgard's database. When you send a request for either an item or monster, you'll get different structured outputs returned back to you depending on what you've searched for.

     Item

    Monster

However, not anyone can fetch what they want. When you create an account through the main site, if setup, there will be a token assigned to your username. You will need this token in order to fetch data from the database.

    Required Fields:
api_key id (Item / Monster ID)
    Optional Field:
type - If no type is given, you'll directly get an item. To get monster, set Type's value to 1.

Here are a few more pictures! As you may notice, elements of the design correspond with your browser's width (this means mobile devices as well). I was debating what I should do with the "latest reviews" sidebar... meaning, how many reviews should be shown? If any at all.

I came to a conclusion that devices with a max of 480px width will see the latest review sidebar with only 2 latest reviews shown. The other 4 reviews will be hidden. I've done it like so because having 6 reviews showing in a mobile device is tiresome to scroll through... as it takes majority of the page.

What does everyone think so far? Along with some mobile responsiveness, some aspect of pages are getting a spruce up!

Mystery got a reaction from Easycore in [Showcase] Inspired by VU
Hey everyone! I'm back once again to showcase another design I've been working on. It's still not 100% done, but it's getting there! The site is themed (inspired by) VU (Valkyrie Uprising). It's 100% fully integrated FluxCP. Also, the site is Mobile Responsive as well!

The theme come completes with ROCharGen. If you take a look at the PvP Ladder, the body image of the character is generated. What you see is the same char in-game.

    What do you guys think?

    I've attached some screenshots!

Mystery got a reaction from REKT in Servers hacked. How to protect it?
Please use PASSWORD generators for STRONG and SECURE passwords. Not to mention, try using different PORTS rather than the default ports given in the emulator. In most cases, a lot of servers stick with the default ports which isn't a safe thing really.

Also, don't use the same PASSWORDS for all your users / dbs. Not the smartest thing either.

Mystery got a reaction from Slicer in [Showcase] ggTheme
    Introducing the ggTheme

    About
When I have some free time, I like theming and playing around with web coding. I decided to theme out gg's site. Even though this theme isn't all the fancy and cut-out like those huge high-end themes, this theme is decent and is elegant yet pleasing and calming to the eyes.

    Top Header
Looking at the top header, it's pretty self-explanatory. You are presented with a brief snippet of status of servers, woe, player count, and server time.

    Logo

If you look closely at the logo in the live theme, you'll notice it tends to disappear as you scroll. Not only that, when you hover, it likes to bounce! Basically, when users visit the site, you are greeted with a large-sized logo. However, instead of obscuring the view of the site as you scroll, it fades into the background. It's like it was never there in the first place!

    PvP Ladder

The PvP Ladder consists of a list of 10 players ranging from the best player (01) to the least best player (10). Only the first player (Rank 1) gets their own picture that is automatically changed depending on the character's job and gender. Not to mention, you get a little Offline / Online shown if the person is... well... offline or online!

    Smooth Scroll

Not a lot of RO sites have this. It's something neat to have because we are filled with a lot of lazy players (ahem) that may not want to scroll all the way to the top of the website... This way, all you gotta do is click the little arrow button and you are slowly scrolled to the top automatically! It's like magic in a little arrow. Don't worry. It only appears when you scroll to about mid-page!

    Fontawesome
Another feature I decided to add was the usability of Fontawesome. Font Awesome gives you scable vector icons that can instantly be customized - size, color, drop shadow, and anything that can be done with the power of CSS.

    CSS-Optimized
The site is designed using a lot of CSS instead of a lot of images for backgrounds, borders, etc. A lot of sites use many images to create borders, backgrounds for sidebars, etc. which render the loading speed of the page. Having minimal images is best for optimization!

    Footer

When visiting the footer, you can see nifty little spinning social media links (hover over them!) Not to mention, you're presented with the copyright information + a side of quick links!

    Few other screenshots:

Read this from time to time: https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/blob/master/doc/script_commands.txt If you're not sure why it's not working.

    *warp "<map name>",<x>,<y>;       This command will take the invoking character to the specified map, and if   wanted, specified coordinates too, but these can be random.         warp "place",50,55;       This would take them to X 50 Y 55 on the map called "place". If your X and   Y coordinates land on an unwalkable map square, it will send the warped   character to a random place.     Same will happen if they are both zero: warp "place",0,0;

Mystery reacted to Haru in Server Transfer and Downtime
    Hello everyone~!

Following Ind's resignation from his administrator position last month, we've been working on transferring our services to a new host.

Some services have already been transferred without any downtime (most notably the stat-server), and now it's finally time to move the rest.

The remaining services will be transferred during the upcoming week, starting tomorrow (Sunday, June 28th). You can expect some downtime.
[*]Forum: The forum can be expected to go offline on June 28th at 17:30 GMT, for about two hours. Some features will be temporarily disabled (commit and pull request sidebar widgets), and will be enabled again within 24 or 36 hours. - Completed [*]Wiki: The wiki can be expected to go offline on June 28th at 17:30 GMT, for about two hours. - Completed [*]Bugtracker, git repository: Bugtracker and git repository (hosted by GitHub) won't experience any downtime. [*]Stat-server: The stat-server won't experience any downtime. [*]Hercules IRC bot (commit announcements in the #hercules channel): The IRC bot will go offline on June 28th at 17:30 GMT, for about two hours. The commit announcement hook may experience a longer downtime (up to four more hours). - Completed [*]HerculesWSAPI: The HerculesWSAPI service (HPM Hooks and SQL Item DB automatic re-generation) will be disabled on June 28th at 17:30 GMT, for up to eight hours. - Completed

Through the week, there may be further, brief, downtimes (10-15 minutes each), for planned upgrades and improvements of the platform and individual services.

Given the complexity of the system, and the number of moving parts, there may be unforeseen delays on the scheduled times. We'll do our best to minimize those.

Status updates will be posted here as well as on IRC and on Twitter.

Hopefully I'll be able to keep this topic as updated as I possibly can, of course with everyone's help!
