Glad I could help. =)
-
Thanks, I'll try that next time.
-
have you tried... git commit -am "message" if that doesn't work and since you said you didn't change anything with that file you can also try... git checkout 3rd party/libconfig/libconfig.c (fetches an unchanged copy from hercules repo) or git add 3rd party/libconfig/libconfig.c (adds the file to the track and makes it safe to merge?) I'm no git expert, so I could be wrong.

Whenever my server crashes, it generates a file named core.xxxx (x being random numbers). When I try to open those with gdb, it says unrecognized format. How do I deal with this?
-
Will this feature support more client versions in the future?
-
Thanks malufett, i think i just got stressed out earlier when i couldn't figure out what's wrong. No need to apologize, i know how hard you guys work on the emulator. I'll figure this out sooner or later. Maybe i just need some rest. lol

I've been using git since I moved to hercules, but for some reason my build crashes when using blood sucker (genetic). I tried with the svn build and it's ok. I don't know what's wrong with my git hercules. Still trying to play around with it.
-
Why doesn't it work like the old svn? It skips so many directories it's pretty useless to use svn update. I've been trying to use git, but recently I've been having crash issues. And some skills don't work. I've forked the herculesws repo, I pulled from the original repo, restarted my vps, re-cloned the original hercules repo. Only changed the import files, and ended up crashing the server with bloodsucker. It works fine on an allegedly updated svn-based folder (which skips directories when updating). I dunno, I guess I'm just out of ideas right now. I'm gonna get myself another fresh copy of hercules later and see what happens.

[*]Currently functional for 2012-04-18aRagexeRE, 2012-07-16aRagexeRE, 2013-03-20 (Ragexe) and 2013-06-12 (Ragexe) as per first post.

Does this occur on a clean version of Hercules? I don't have src mods. I only have custom npcs and edits to the import files. I even did a fresh checkout of packets.h to make sure I have the latest version from the main branch. For now, I would say that the anti-WPE feature is a little overprotective. Sometimes, clicking an npc - move - click npc again results in disconnection. Of course this will require further testing because it's too early to confirm or disprove my findings. And I love this emulator for rolling out updates that makes so much sense. So, salut!

I'm using 07162012 ragexe and if I diff the client with "Disable Nagle Algorithm" I get disconnected at random times or whenever I try to disband my guild. So I would suggest that people uncheck that diff. This maybe an isolated case, but that's how it was for me. Tested with different diff combinations and removing that one along with skip packet obfuscation seems to fix the issue.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I just don't want to miss out on the future updates you guys are rolling out. Hercules is awesome right out of the box anyway, but there are occasional src edits I'd like to add. Thanks again and more power.

Thanks malufett. A question, if I edit skill.c and commit my changes. then I fetch from HerculesWS repo, will git still update my skill.c if there are new changes or will it get ignored from future updates?
-
You get that effect when using a kagerou/oboro skill. I forgot which one. But the wolf icon on top appears and the skill only turns people into porings. Maybe the scroll is based on that skill with a few mods.
-
I'm testing it now and I'm lost for words. All I can say is... THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible. Perfect timing for my server's re-launch tomorrow.
-
yeah, they're raw packed exes. probably themida too.
-
I don't know which one you need so I zipped up the one with the icon and the grey exe. Both are from new loki pro server. I chose that server because I've seen the costume there in action. Here's the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/5ehmugic47sg1yz/newlokiexe.zip

how to add modify @go commands in hercules.
mofo replied to jomjoms123's question in General Server Support
Yes, use jTynne's script. It's so awesome! -
Which one is it, does it work for you or not?

i was trying out different 2013 clients and i also get unsupported packet errors on the console right after choosing a character. Recompiled a number of times (depending on client date). Checked packets.h and it's fully updated. Works stable with my 20120716 client though.
-
even if you have all those, clients still don't show these costumes. still need to test with 2013 clients to see if my hunch is correct.
-
Could this be exclusive to 2013 clients? So far I've only used a 2012 ragexe, I'll try to use a 2013 client tomorrow and see if it works with that. Or if anyone can confirm today, that would be great.
-
did you need to make any modifications to your client to get them to work?
-
It seems to have worked. I can see 1 plugin loaded. But my console is now stuck at "Awaiting maps from map server". This also happens to me when I try to enable PK in my server. Anyhow, I'll try with a different plugin and see if that works. update - Still gets stuck regardless of plugin used. But it could be an isolated case. The goal of the topic is list the steps to use plugins with linux, so I'll consider this a partial success. Thanks

@Xgear LOL, seriously? Trying it now. I made a separate topic for newbies like me in the support section. I'll update that if this works.
