you need to perform a Fetch / Pull (Not to mix with Pull request) and resolve conflicts.

Then have a look inside this directory

https://github.com/HerculesWS/Hercules/tree/master/sql-files/upgrades

and see if there is anything new. If there is, run those SQL files in your RO database.

That's it, That's all there is to it...

yii2 or codeignighter are just as big as Laravel.

I use Laravel, because I know how to work with it, see my blog is written in Laravel.

It runs on My Raspberry Pi with PHP 7.1, If I am to pay a hoster, I would buy a VPS or even better Dedicated Server, That way I don't have to deal with finicky hosters using PHP 5.3 (Because we are in 2009 (c)).

day 360+X .... Alright, I decided to stop doing it this way.

I Will rethink my way of doing it

So far what I have

- .com domain name I bought for 0.99 $

- Hercules Emulator running on my Raspberry Pi

- I'm using graphical content from downloads section to make loading screens and login screens, watermark etc.

- I'm using graphical content kindly provided by Daifuku, in the downloads section to create banners and web content

- I adjusted few plugins and scripts (Publicly available on hercules forum) to work with my server

Poring count (Automatic event)
Goblin invasion (Automatic event)
Treasure box hunting (Automatic event)
And many more which I downloaded but not integrated yet

And yes they all work as expected, and no I don't care if they are written by a monkey...

As users don't see the code, the only thing that matters is that they work as expected.

If they don't, I make them to.

- I have few licenses of responsive bootstrap themes, I bought them back in 2015.

Hello It's me again (Oh noooo!)

Alright, did you ever had this awkward feeling, that you have done nearly everything on your Raspberry Pi and short of ideas and looking for new stuff to do on your Raspberry Pi?

Well, that's kinda my situation here...

I've done nearly everything? things that I've already done:

- Custom SSH Welcome Screen (Made myself because everything I've found out there was missing key information I wanted to have at every login...)

Do you have an existing DB and you update Hercules?

(I'm pretty sure it is the case, the only possible way this could happen that I know of)

If it is the case,

you need to run db updates or conversion for your Database to reflect the latest changes.

Db Updates are stored here: sql-files/upgrades

Or you ditch existing database and create a new one...

Well the error saying is, it's trying to open data/tmp/ConfigServers.cache.php

the latter errors are dependent on the first error, if the file cannot be opened (not found) it cannot be written to, right?

I don't host servers on Wind0z so I don't know what's going on...

but I suggest seeing if this directory exists at all within your FluxCP ( data/tmp )

Then I'd suggest to GOOGLE " how to configure file / folder permissions for wamp64 on wind0z 10 "

Hello It's me!! (oh noooo)

and I have another crazy thing to share

It involves Ragnarok, Hercules, Raspberry Pi and an open source cloud IDE, how any cooler could that be!?

Today I'm going to talk about my development setup on my Raspberry Pi, that's right, I don't install Visual Studio on my local machine,

neither MySQL server.

I have a decent little thingy Raspberry Pi that can do it all!!

- Run and Compile Hercules emulator

- Run a MySQL server installation

- And even run a Cloud 9 WEB IDE

Just run it

and open your browser

Cloud 9 is a full scale IDE with command prompt integration, file search and replace, refactoring, project view on the left(for easy navigation)

and a main window with code editor allowing you to edit

configs of your emulator

develop scripts

edit source

and write plugins

After that just compile your emulator with integrated Command prompt and run the server as simple as that...

Obviously, I have written a guide on how to install cloud 9 IDE on a Linux box

As of my personal experience, antibots and chat swear filters just upset the normal players

just like meko said, botters will find a way to bypass your antibot system. Because botting gives them advantage over regular players.

and swear filter will filter out word sex and ass

What happens?

1) Your event GM cannot run @sexchange command :wacko: "Command @***change not found"

2) Players who want to say in chat "I want to become Assassin!" would say "I want to become ******in!" :mellow:

3) Crafty rude boy would say : S_E_X , S.E.X. , etc.... and it would bypass the swear filter

Learn to trust your moderators, and rely on them... There is no better system than a human being!

error and script doesn't seem to be connected though..

[SQL]: DB error - Duplicate entry '1428' for key 'PRIMARY'

Basically what that SQL error means, there is already an entry in the table atcommandlog with atcommand_id = 1428

Perhapss, a good start would be to run this SQL query on your database, to get more information about that record:

SELECT * FROM atcommandlog WHERE atcommand_id=1428;

Other than that, I don't know, maybe review the script.

I don't have time right now, need to do my school homework...

Wow I didn't laugh that much since lunch break at school!!

It's an IMPORT folder config file of course it is empty!!!

How inside import folder config files work :

you put your settings inside of file (just those you need to change)

and the settings inside files of IMPORT folder override setting in the default conf

Draw as much as you like But learn how your emulator works first

BTW :

- I'm never going to be rude to someone because he is right.

- I'm never going to be rude to someone who doesn't know something.

- I'm rude to you because you didn't know how import folder works, and was saying I'm wrong (even after I made a proof of concept).

Ps: read more attentively this part:

Hercules as most modern emulators support configuration import. This means that there is a directory import containing exact names of configuration files found throughout config folder.

Files inside import directory, override configuration files. This is a good industry practice to add your changes to .config in the import directory, for the following reasons:

Maintenance, you can easily update this part of the emulator. (otherwise, you would have to compare your current configuration with updated one and manually integrate new features)

Portability, when you recovering the server from backup, just plug and play your import folder. Boom, your server is configured.

Conciliation, all relevant to your server option are neatly stored in one place, for easy review.

Reversibility, you can revert your setting to a default value by simply removing the entry from .config in import folder.

The way I work with Import folder:

I open the original config folder in Hercules GIT repository.

Then, I open each .config file, I review and I copy/paste values I want to configure to the same .config in my import folder.

You cannot just change emulators and expect DataBase to be 100% compatible...

If you want to keep data you need to analyze and do a conversion.

If you don't want to keep data, use a fresh database.

tu eassaie d'executer une tache avec compte root sans fournir de Mot de passe...

C'est vraiment comme ca que je fais dans mon guide d'installation de Hercules 2017 sur Raspberry Pi

La seule difference, Raspberry Pi, c'est du linux...

Si tu doute toujours qu'il ne se passe rien, fais ceci dans l'invite de commande:

mysql -u root -p
use ragna
SHOW TABLES;

1 connecte toi

2 choisi ta BD

3 Regarde si les tables que tu essai d'importer sont crées.

Sinon, je te recommenderais de reinstaller ton Instance de serveur MySQL et essayer a nouveau.

? GB of ?? (I use 64GB SD class 10 card (I got some for 12$))

but buying and setting up a Raspberry Pi might cost you a year's worth of hosting a VPS

Raspberry Pi server costs ~70-80$ (RPi 3, Power Supply, SD card)

Assuming it uses your residential Internet...

80/5 = 16 (months of VPS at Digi Ocean)

Anyways, people have to see for themselves.

I just have bunch of Raspberry Pi laying around, so I play with them...

Yea i also thought that internet connection is an issue in my country. isp give very slow connection and that would be a problem for players specially internationally. thanks for the brief explanation though.
