    Hi all !
    Now you can use render engine from Æsir game client to view maps.
    Just download it from there(use version >= v0.3.2) : https://cloud.acomirei.ru/s/khm08qmHJSVLEUy 
    Extract it somewhere, put grfs near executable and edit their names in the aesir.json.
    Then click viewer.bat and it will show you the map.
    You can hide settings using F12.
    Render quality and antialiasing requires restart.

    Hello peoples,
    I've been asked recently to create official instances that aren't release on rathena yet. So I decided to merge them to hercules too.
    This is a version of Airship Assault instance, corrected from Ziu initial script.
    It has been fully translated to english, reworked to be more clean and tested.
    You'll find everything needed in the rar, including instance file, mob, item and quest db.
    You'll still need up to date client (I personnaly use 20160201) to ensure the mobs are created client side.

    Hey everyone!
     
    About this plugin:
    Well.. I saw a friend that had to remove some items from being dropped by some monsters and he was struggling with the `mob_db` since a lot of monsters drop that item.
    So I made this plugins which can disable an item from being dropped by all monsters or just for the specified mob types, and also with the possibility of set some exceptions.
    I hope it can help other people with the same problem.
     
    Installation:
    Well, you just need to extract it on your `src/plugins/` folder and declare it on the `conf/plugins.conf` file, and follow the instructions to build plugins with MSVC or GCC.
     
    Downloads \ Changelog:
    1.0a - Initial Release.

    Today I'm introducing a project that I've been envisioning and working on for a couple of months, a control panel developed using Laravel (currently v5.8) that has quite a few advanced features that no other panel has offered before.
    Feature Insight
    Bootstrap Responsive Design
    The panel by default will come with one bootstrap-based responsive design that is elegant, light coloured and adjusts to screens of all sizes. The panel is also capable of supporting custom themes.

(In order to get to in panel you need to login or register. I applied a normal authorization check that would redirect a person) *For the game panel, I use the found engine in my archives and in open access it is not available*

    RO Hooks is a paid project, which will allow a set of custom abilities to your client, such as player name coloring, server side GM sprite and such; It is is meant to be a way to edit this old dead game client to add things either improving player's experience or giving the ability to have new of content or to give your players something special.

    Some of you have left me many messages (here on the forum and on Discord) regarding my activity. Sadly, I've been quite busy working at Summer Camp (hence why I haven't been active much through the summer....). I try to check in whenever I have some time to myself, but it is quite difficult to do so with lack of internet and lack of connection.
     
    Good news is... it's almost done and I'm about ready to get back to my normal routine. Please, if you have any more questions/concerns/ or just want to say hi, don't hesitate to talk to me via PM or Discord! I check Discord more often since I am on my phone more often.

    Hello, this is my form of welcoming myself into the community, haha. I'm a security analyst and general software developer. I write a plethora of languages, some of my favorites being Java, PHP (yikes, those serialization RCEs), and python. I've recently decided to get back into Ragnarok, and as I currently spend my days managing various other game servers, I believe Ragnarok will be an awesome fit for me.
    As far as getting the lay of the land, is there anywhere I should look besides the wiki for general scripting resources (not sure if lua is the scripting language, haven't seen a name referenced). Possibly an API, some useful tips, or possibly even personal experiences you've had writing content that you felt helped you become more familiar with the environment.
     
    Also, it seems I may be using the vanilla rAthena on their github; would anyone here personally suggesting switching to Hercules (as I believe it's an engine as well) over rAthena? I'm obviously new to the scene and I've just picked up the first thing I heard about and got it configured.

    A skill that invokes the single version or the double version of the Rashomon Shield. Works exactly like icewall, except that there is just one point to hit and kill to disable the way blocking.
    Beside our differences, some customization like that could not be done without the amazing content that @Olrox provided for custom area. So, big part of the credit is his.

    While I really want this to succeed I have my doubts. I've been involved with this community for many, many years (since 2005 / 12+ years).
    I've seen so many "new RO client", "custom RO client", "client rewrite", "open source client" projects, and absolutely none of them have succeeded. They all get to at least this stage:
    Map Viewer Chat Character creation / rendering Then they stop being interested in developing it, get burnt out and then quit. Biggest issue they all have? So far, out of the 5 or 6 projects I've seen pop up since 2005, only one of them ever shared their source code. If you're going to actively pursue this goal, share the code. Open source it and invite in more developers. Having it closed source + paid / donations to get access is going to get you in deep legal shit with Gravity. Do not think "oh they can't" or "they don't know who I am" or "they can't find me", believe me it's not hard. They know who pretty much everyone is irl that has massive contributions within the athena community.
    Open source it as an educational project, do not advertise it as an "RO Client". Like with athena, advertise it as an "MMORPG Client". Make a solid core framework that you can then extend with RO specifics to build a client capable of running RO.
    There are many old school athena developers who would join this project if you simply opened it up and had some serious noticeable progress on it.
    Do not make the same mistake as all those other dead projects.

    sorry for being in hiatus mode..I just got busy in real life this past years for me having hard time to insert RO dev thingy on my schedule..
     
    I'm sad since I became busy, Herc RE development(SRC) halted upon my leave...so I guess should come back? however if I come back I will only implement this in partial meaning only basic features (due to this reason "Its sole purpose is to monetize (which certainly isn't what players are looking for).")...
