This client using cheat defender anti cheat, for disable it, you must use Nemo.
Old patchers not support this anti cheat. And yes this is normal. You can connect to login and char servers, but cant to map. For fix this, use Nemo

Update 2021-02-26:
While this still has no tangible name, currently running under the working name SKAL (which was previously ELUR and permutations thereof, including LURE, even though it won't lure anyone), the patching launcher itself is taking form. The plug-in system will be post-poned to a later version, because currently it is very fragile and the built-in functionality ought to be enough for anybody.
The skin support, as opposed to ROCred, will use PNG rather than BMP. While magenta will still serve as transparent color and alpha-blending support is absent, at least the skin files will be smaller. Like pre-2.4.5 RSU plug-ins PANTEXT and PANHTML, the patch news will be built-in and use the IE WebView for HTML patch news (how that works out on Win10 will be left for community feedback). The major difference is, that you can summon multiple patch news (as much as Windows allows), for example for providing seem-less interactive controls to the interface, like server status. As in ROCred the amount of buttons is also limited by available memory only.
The patch part builds on top of the RSU4 framework and the RSULIB3 library so you get the same performance, but with multi-GRF support. RGZ support is planned in the initial version. Later versions may introduce support for ZIP, RAR, 7Z/LZMA, either built-in, or as plug-ins.
The launcher part remains essentially unchanged to ROCred.
How configuration will be provided is not yet decided, options are three. Embedded into the plauncher (AV vendors hate this), a separate file or files, or all resources stored in a remote location.

ROLibrary is a new community I'm creating that hopefully will be able to improve the RO Scenario a little bit. I'll explain why a bit down there.
The idea started because after I stopped playing competitively, I realized that RO ideas simply wouldn't stop coming and I'd start to create a lot of random texts, notes, suggestions and ideas that never really went anywhere. I was almost considering paying someone to develop these ideas to me so I could keep them with me as some sort of "personal collection". However, after multiple discussions in some discord channels I realized that I should try to help the RO scenario a little bit. So that's why I had the idea to create the ROLibrary.
The idea consists of a collaborative forum aiming to consolidate actually useful guides and information, identify RO main issues nowadays and to create a solid base to encourage our members to suggest changes they would like to see in the game. One of our objectives is to be a reliable point of information that won't disappear like most information stored on server forums, that'll be gone as soon as the server dies.
After a while (approx. in the end of the year), our plan is to pay a developer (Protimus, from brAthena) to get some of the suggestions developed and store them in a protected area. We'll then choose servers and admins we consider good people and that are in this admin world because they have good intentions and give some of our developed systems/solutions for free. Then hopefully we'll be able to support the good admins to compete against the cashgrab and/or corrupt ones.
The forum is divided into 3 parts:
Information Database - An area dedicated to useful RO information and guides. From the in-game stuff to the act of creating and managing a server. I'm still creating the guides but I'm already almost finished with the pre-renewal woe class guides.
Brainstorm Area - The place where we'll discuss known RO issues, game design flaws and server management errors and based on the identified issues, propose changes to improve the game.
Developer's Hub - In order to have a balanced community with players and developers, we also encourage every admin and developer to post about their projects and even showcase finished content in our showcase area. We also have a area to discuss about current servers freely and without any moderation from the server admins. So I gladly invite you guys to check it out and even showcase your stuff there if you liked our idea.

Probably my most ambitious and personal project. I often met on my way
interesting places in the world of RO, to which it was impossible to get.
Then I began to find such places with the help of the BrowEdit program
and make them available for visiting. As the project expanded,
I decided to allow shooting and use skills from the hills on the maps,
where this feature was disabled (or Gravity was too lazy busy),
add plants and trees, create comfortable climbs and so on.
I suggest you watch a promo video that clearly explains my idea.

At the moment, almost ready the locations of the Schwartzwald and Arunafeltz for the release,
there is a reserve for many other locations. Since the appearance of the video, there have been

short description
There are 3 different generations of laboratory monsters:
1. Egnigem, Wickebine, Laurell, Errende, Josephina, Kavach, Armeyer
2. Seyren, Eremes, Kathryne, Margaretha, Cecil, Howard
3. Randel, Gertie, Celia, Chen, Trentini, Alphoccio, Flamel
I collect them, correct mistakes, add every possible class to each monster,
recolor them in 3 official color sets and improve their aura.
As a basis, I took the logic of the first implemented sprites at lhz_dun01-03
If you compare the following kRO sprites with corrections in the changelog you will notice
that the logic has ceased to be respected and the sprites do not even have sounds!

There's 2 way to do it:
1) custom DLL which accepts /commands and send specific packet (which you don't want and also it requires some knowledge about client)
2) source editing: check chat functions from pc.c and modify it to accept / for commands. Then make custom atcommand.

Weird.
I guess the find of the file is successful when searching on the rdata/data grfs.
Have you tried importing that file to your grf? It would have be something with the order grfs are read
