    • Hi everyone, I'm currently working on optimizing the performance of a game server, and I wanted to ask for some advice from those of you with more experience in this area. Specifically, I'm dealing with performance issues where the server tends to lag, especially when multiple players are connected. I've already tried some basic steps like adjusting server settings and optimizing scripts, but the performance still isn't where I want it to be. I know there are deeper optimizations I could make, but I'm not sure which areas to focus on. Has anyone here worked on similar performance issues before? What tools or strategies have you found most effective in pinpointing and solving lag problems? Also, as I'm diving deeper into the technical side of development, I was thinking of taking a CISSP Course to improve my cybersecurity knowledge. Do you think it would help with securing the server while optimizing performance?   Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! mathewjacob

    • dont run sql queries from your scripts on map server. Most time this is main performance issue
    • Hi everyone, I’ve been working with the Hercules Emulator for a while and I’m looking for ways to improve server performance. My server has been running smoothly, but as the player base grows, I’m starting to notice a slight lag and a few performance dips during peak hours. I’ve read through the documentation, but I’m wondering if there are specific optimizations that can help with handling more traffic, especially when it comes to reducing lag and ensuring smoother gameplay. Should I tweak certain settings in the configuration files, or are there more advanced techniques like load balancing or server clustering that might help? Additionally, if anyone has experience optimizing memory usage or handling high concurrency in Hercules, I’d love to hear your tips. I’m mainly focused on making sure the server runs efficiently without compromising on the player experience. Thanks in advance for your help! Best regards, mathewjacob
