He once sent me some source files, but nothing of the core xray code.

Xray was a client modification by Meruru,
before all the lua/lub stuff, all the data inside the lua was hardcoded in to the client
which made adding items pretty hard.
Meruru rewrote functions that read the hardcoded data, and made it read from txt files.
still annoyed he didnt opensource it (Meruru ?)

Which is why we have a specific anti-maya-purple-cheat feature in Hercules, that prevents the server from sending the position of hidden or cloaked people altogether.
Your screenshot shows that you're able to see *yourself*. That's because the client always knows where *you* are (for obvious reasons).
You should try with enemy units (mobs, or PvP/GvG enemies), and you'll see that - even if you trick your client into thinking that they never hid or cloaked, it still won't show any of their moves.

it really depends on how the 'Maya Purple Filter' works.
the whole packet is not encrypted or obfuscated, only the first 2 bytes (the message_id)
and only on packets 'client to server'.
excellent to stop sending arbitrary packets and skill spamming.
packets sent 'server to client' dont have message_id encryption, which is probably where the filter is doing its work
i guess the filter works by searching for the incoming packet and discards it.

easy, setup a really shit server and have no clue about what you are doing, then you are destined for 2000 players.What will attract mostly (Current) players of Ragnarok as well as new players to a RO server?
but be careful, any kind of professionalism in your setup, you are lucky to get 200 players

im planning to release a new client when gravity add the achievement system to kro main server
and probably only if i get some extra funds in my www.yomrawr.com donation thingo

They didn't even put any effort to make the walls in the surrounding fields look the same.
the Prontera gates have a different style depending on which side you are standing
as for the design, its a nice facelift.. but wont improve the ro game brand

I have made a new blog/crowdfund site.
since i dont have much time to focus on ragnarok, i am too busy with work stuff.
